L'Eau de Paille is part of the Les Eaux line. Is that being discontinued then?

Other than that... Jeez, there's too many changes to the houses range in a couple of short years in my opinion.

So many bizarre changes. They put a bunch of bell jar & export scents into tall skinny black bottles with a huge price increase, then they take the eau scents in the tall skinny clear bottles and put them in new squat bottles, and I’m betting just about everything is reformulated and watered down. I have completely lost interest in this house

Citronnier and Gris Clair are definitely reformulated. The other two previous Eaux who knows, there's only one new

I'm a bit concerned my very much liked L'Eau Froide isn't part of the range... In my opinion, they should have had that instead Eau de Paille since the latter is pretty much a standard, boring, 'generic men's cologne'.

L'Eau Froide is included in this new range according to Beaulieu's instagram. L'Eau Droide in OP is probably a typo.

However, I'm curious what will become of the very first L'Eau? To be discontinued or still in the tall transparent bottle?

One of my favorite houses in the past, and a favorite of others I suspect.

It's all about $$ of course, but at the same time, one has to wonder at a marketing strategy that seems designed to alienate their old customer base.

As much as I like the fragrances, I completely agree.

Serge Lutens was the house that got me into niche. The £55 - £70 retail price was always within grasp. Even if the fragrances weren't sold in my area back then, I could always risk a blind buy. Now, I'd have to pay more than 2-3 times as much to enjoy the scents that I fell in love with back then. Yes, I have the disposable income now as times have changed, but it's a matter of principle
