Default How would one go about getting this type of hairstyle (is there a specific name for it)?

What would be the measurements/guide to developing this kind of haircut? The look I feel was big in the 80s or perhaps 90s but is it just like a long on top with a part not in the MIDDLE but slightly to one other side? What are the sides and back supposed to be like? Is there a certain name this style would be called?

Any advice here welcomed, sorry I know the title is so redundant here.

Thank you! This is my first guess too, same style overall but the part is closer to the side than the middle (the middle has a very strong 90s Shawn vibe LOL)

I've always thought of it as a 1980s version of a classic 1930s haircut, like the younger Hugh Grant wore, albeit longer in the back:

Lots of good ideas and photos collected on this page:

Hard to believe that John Wayne once looked like this:

    That's a mid-90's Matt Damon

It does kind of look like Damon, doesn't it? The teeth aren't big enough, though.

I don't think any of the previously posted photos were actually of Matt Damon, I just mean this hairstyle looks like his from the 90's

Definitely referred to as 'curtains'. It's a style I've often associated with a younger Leonardo Dicaprio.

But maybe just take the photos to your hairdresser, they'll be able to cut it better so as to direct the growth in certain angles/parts so that it grows better into that shape
Yeah, Montgomery Clift could get it
