    Default Modern spring/summer powerhouses?

Wondering what everyone's take is on modern fragrances that are considered powerhouses or close to that... Seems like old school ones are the best but pretty strong and doesn't mesh well with the 30-35yr old crowd.

Curious to see what you guys list...

    Tauer's Carillon pour un Ange:
Photorealistic lilac, damp mossy forest floor, a huge salty/marine amber blaze. Weird, but incredibly good.
    Mancera's Wave Musk:
Huge grapefruit and alarmingly loud flinty musk notes.

Possibly Lalique Homme EDP, YSL Rive Gauche, Sartorial by Penhaligon's, Zara White Tag (a quite interesting citrus, white musk, moss, tarragon and/or possibly other herbs, some fresh woody note combination with good performance), Tuscany Uomo Forte, Cerruti 1881 Edition Blanche - only one of these is actually from the powerhouse age but all seem to fit any age group well and staying quite powerhouse while not inappropriate for spring/summer either

I get good longevity and decent projection with Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Barts and Azarro Chrome both are nice and very affordable as well, also no one will complain. (I have some "complainers" in my circle, good people but they have low tolerance for anything not "pleasant" scent-wise)

    Narciso Rodriguez for Him

A polarizing, unfortunately sometimes underrated, gem of a fragrance. Modern, yet with nods to the powerhouses of the past, such as Fahrenheit and Azzaro PH. Francis Kurkdjian's finest work IMHO.

I heard a lot of praises on this one. L'Eau D'Issey is quite strong.

Seconding particularly Xerjoff Nio, actually most if not all of the citrus fragrances their Shooting Stars and XJ lines are easily rateable as modern powerhouses

I don't recommend blind buying Beach Hut by Amouage, despite it being highly recommended. Especially if you are partial to the aroma chemical norlimbanol like me. This gives it a very screechy, sharp wood smell that lasts for a good part of the opening of the fragrance before it dies off. Once it's gone it becomes a pretty nice fragrance, but I wear a fragrance for the whole thing, not for the dry down.

Also +1 on Grey Vetiver, I would recommend the EDP version. Probably the most modern high quality vetiver fragrance around.

It's strong, but not strong enough to project through a winter coat.
