Belated congratulations to PerfumedLady and TrilbyLark on your posting milestones! Here's to many more I can only echo all of the sentiments about the wonderful people in this community.

This morning, my husband's fragrance choice left our bedroom smelling wonderfully boozy and dank (thank you, Slumberhouse Baque!), so I was of course craving something dank for myself. Queue up the dank, earthy mossiness of Bogue Profumo MAAI. I just missed twinning with foxbins, my sister-in-skank (and dank)!

I really need a full bottle of MAAI. My 3rd sample of it is nearly gone.

No skank here today, ExtremeK! I was in the mood for flowers of the BW kind so I am wearing Chanel Gardenia. I just got back from my first-ever Pilates class and something tells me that I'll be in pain on Wednesday. So much ab work! My abs are not so much washboard as cardboard.

teardrop, it's great to hear you had a pretty good day at work, may it stay good!

foxbins, your post made me laugh - in a good way of course! I've tried pilates too and found it a nice way to excercise - there are so many inner core muscles you don't even know about until you try pilates or calanetics and they start hurting and eventually getting stronger so all this pain you might endure is just your inner cardboard turning into nice woody and strong washboard!

A good start to the day--a bit of time for reflection and gratitude. I'm not pilates material, but I think extra yoga mat time would do me good today. Re-center myself, re-order my scattered priorities. Definitely NO MORE COOKING TODAY. It's as much trouble and mess to cook poorly as it is to cook well, and so much more disheartening to clean up.

I need self affirmation, so I offer this link:

    https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/11/healt...ner/index.html

I have done every. single. thing. *BRAGS ON SELF* The last thing on my list would be.....learning to cook. GAAAAAAAHHHHHHGGHGHGHGHGGH.

*concentrates on gratitude. gratitude. hate mf'g cooking, gratitude, gratitude.*

Wearing exactly what I want to while trying to settle the hell down. Love's Baby Soft layered with Teint de Neige oil parfum layered with Vilhelm Parfumerie's A Lilac a Day. My new friend John's mother gets evaluated for Hospice today, and not the kitten kind. I've never been so sorry to be right, and my mat time focuses on the joy of a life well lived and loving family. Still, I've never been so sorry to be a shitty cook. It's the thought that counts and after all they do have dogs.

Which reminds me! The Westminster Athletic portion was yesterday and was such fun! I look forward to more dog show today!

Spritz and dash for me today - Boucheron Initial from my 3-mini EBay purchase.

I like this one, too! There was a somewhat smoky note early on in the dry down, that I think must be the pepper in combination with something else. It keeps the fragrance from becoming mundane, I think. Dry down is vanilla verging in nougat. So far, a very successful $30 indulgence.

Initial fragrance notes: Blackcurrant, Muguet, Tangerine, Rose, Jasmine, Patchouli, Pepper, Everlasting Flower, Cinnamon, Almond Honey, Amber, Vanilla.

teardrop, so glad things are starting to feel normal again!

Jon, thank you for those recommendations. I will ask the next time I'm at Neiman Marcus. I really want to take advantage of their April special .

Quarry, I laughed at your description of Angel Muse yelling. That one can be perfect or horrific. Sublime or hellish!

And Shycat! That is a big list...congratulations! I always like a list that starts off with buying something.

Today at the gym someone was on my favorite cardio machine (SOMEONE IS ALWAYS ON MY FAVORITE CARDIO MACHINE) so I tried the Jacob's Ladder. It is, as advertised, an endless ladder. But instead of angels climbing up and down it's just sweaty mortals. And, fyi, never down, just up. Whew! Ten minutes on that kicked my butt. I'll be sore tomorrow. But I liked it!

SotE is Bvlgari Eau Parfumee au The Bleu. Lots of violet tonight.

    This morning I wore:

    Impact Pour Homme by Caron

This evening (prompted by the thread by hat & Beard) I am in some oil I bought at the NYC shop Enfleurage last summer, a wonderful Santalum album not from India but from Sri Lanka

    Sandalwood EO by Enfleurage

LizB - impressive that you did the Jacob's Ladder machine - I saw it a couple months ago when I got a free pass to go to the Equinox gym near my office and I didn't have the guts to try it by myself. I think I would have fallen off. So props to you...that a girl!
