    Good morning everyone!

Yesterday at ~8PM I felt I absolutely wanted to fall asleep here and now and still had a bunch of stuff to do, so decided to make myself a big cup of strong black coffee. That... helped. Fast forward, at around 1:30 AM I was at the height of my energy and decided to start cleaning the cupboards in my bathroom, throw out everything that's expired or not needed and reorganize all the stuff in them to diminish all the clutter... Not the best idea when you have to get up early in the morning! I'm certainly regretting this at the moment. I'm slightly amused by my recent need to declutter everything and give me some more breathing space, I'm not sure what it signifies.

I'm getting cozy with Opium today.

ClockworkAlice - it's quite normal to want to do a Spring clean
at this time of year but maye not in the middle of the night!!

Sadly I actually know what OALV SLRDM means.....so can't play along.

It's a Comme Une Evidence kind of day today.

N.CAL a report back would be much appreciated.

Today i am going to attempt to try and organise my perfumes much better. Did have a system of armoire, bookcase in the breakfast room, frosted cabinet in dressing room for what I thought would be my choice of the day ( which takes about 5 minutes to rearrange for everything not to come falling out) guest bathroom for wandering in at a whim to spray something different on and boxes in a box room that I have forgotten what I have in there.

Complete and utter madness So it will be sampling to attempt to get some order into this chaos I have descended into.

If this addiction keeps going I’ll be sleeping in the kitchen ( which I rarely use ) soon.

And still I want all you enablers to have a lovely day.

    Morning all!

There's a promise of spring in the air here this morning, as the sun breaks through the fog. l'll be working the late shift in Royal Egyptian Amber & Honeysuckle.

I feel your pain! After spending a year revisiting all of the various perfumes lying around my home, I'm still unclear on what's there and have succeeded in culling a grand total of two bottles... But, it's a great way to spend some time!

Good morning everybody. Today I’m feeling a bit tired. I’m not really looking forward going to work today, but hopefully it will be calm. Lucky are those who can start see the end of winther soon. Here it keeps pouring snow down and it probably will continue that way until April/May. Anyway, sotd is NR For her. Have a great day all

    First Friday of 2020!

Today's SOTD is the last of my three-mini eBay purchase, Boucheron.

Having a bit of trouble smelling much of anything right now - hoping things clear up soon... But based on the other two, and that Boucheron is stil in production, I have no reason to think it's anything but good. I've always liked Boucheron, but it is too similar to a number of my other favorites for me to need a full bottle. A mini, however? Just right.

Boucheron fragrance notes: Lemon, Bergamot, Blackcurrant, Basil, Orange blossom, Tuberose, Jasmine, Lily of the valley, Geranium, Iris, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Tonka bean, Civet, Oakmoss, Benzoin, Amber, Olibanum, Musk.
It’s thought that people who hope too much will just waste their life away and never get down to doing any real work. They’re confusing Hope with Wish, its lazy cousin... When Hope whispers “Something is just around the corner,” something always is. -- Charlie Elberson

I am smelling so good, in Reglisse Noire. Finally my replacement has arrived. It was beautifully and carefully packaged in lots of padding to survive the trip, in its own Reglisse Noire flat box. This one only smells good in winter here, Canadian scent, LOL, but wow just wow. I love this smell. Third bottle of this, it only comes in the 50ml. I'd buy a bigger one if available.

Sending positive vibes for an excellent result for your brother, Hazel5. Very best wishes!

    ExtremeK, ! Thank you!

We got so much freezing rain, the trees are all hunched over from the weight. Looks wild! But enough is enough. I'm pretending not to notice winter with my scent; have chosen Eau Dynamisante today. Huffing uplifting, summery herbs; weather be darned. Have a great day, all!

Thanks, mike! I was pretty impressed with myself . I'm going to go for 11 minutes today.

ClockworkAlice, I laughed at your story! So much smarter to spend sleepless time getting stuff done than fretting about not sleeping. I can't have any caffeine at all after around noon...and in fact I'm cutting back a bit on my beloved morning coffee as I think it might be making me feel a bit too keyed up.

SotD is Bottega Veneta Knot. Mmmmmm!

    Cook.bot, you're wicked clever.

Roberto, quite the color match-up and desert tie-in for your sotd photo.

Teardrop, a promise of spring? I can't even imagine it.

It's more wintry now than it has been all winter.

Hazel5, tell your bro we wish him well ... "Because that's just how fantastical those people on Basenotes are." (I'm sure my friends are tired of my referencing BN every other sentence.)

I've layered Bois des Iles with Marni. It's not precisely right, but it's really not wrong and kinda satisfying.

YOU CAN IGNORE THIS VENTING RANT: I'm trying to let go of my unreasonably agitated state over FedEx's failure to deliver something. I've told them, if they just Googled my last name or our address, the map would pinpoint our house. We have the address posted on both ends of our property-long fence as well as on our mailbox. They keep saying their failure to deliver is because "the business was closed or no one was home." We are l.i.t.e.r.a.l.l.y always home. I know the driver just won't admit they can't find us. I've emailed FE a couple times, they have our phone number, and our account has specific "just north of this/west of this" instructions. Arghhh.
