I am having a nostalgic week perfume-wise. I wore Mary Quant Havoc to bed yesterday (wow that one certainly packs a punch!) and now I am wearing Je Reviens from a miniature I picked up in the indoor market yesterday.
This is such a beautiful, powdery floral with hints of spice and incense. The violet note makes it feel wistful and delicate.
A woman without perfume is like a flower without a scent.

Good morning all !. Out of the loop yesterday with much of the day spent in and around Ely with it's old tea rooms and amazing cathedral. The approach across the fens is really quite something with the distant cathedral looming through the mist like a marooned ocean liner. (Mrs Q ceiling alert !).

    Wishing everyone a relaxing Sunday

You got me good, J--producing a synesthesiac visual/musical reaction with two or three overlapping chorus and orchestration hallucinations. The floor and walls aren't too shabby here either. The mid-century modern chairs make me giggle for their contrast.

Didn't perfume myself yesterday until bedtime when I realized I just wasn't going to make it to the shower until today. So, I was smelling the drydown of last night's Bel Ami on my wrist this morn when a revelation struck: This smells amazingly similar to Hove Rue Royale! Hove is famous for keeping their notes a secret, and nobody here on BN has confidently claimed to recognize the note pyramid. After I shower, I'm going to put BA on one wrist and RR on the other to suss out, as best I can, what is going on.

    Hello everyone!

Trilby, congrats on your 6th BN birthday! 6 years is a long time!

Jon, thank you for beautiful photos! I always found gothic architecture almost magical. That balance between heavy and light, thick walls and intricate ornaments and high towers is just beautiful. My English vocabulary is not enough to describe what I feel looking at this

Cook.bot, I hope your smelling powers are to return soon! Wish you to get well quickly!

And sending some more hugs to tdem.

I'm wearing Pacific Paradise by Escada while dying my hair. I was gifted a bottle of this in my late teens. I liked it at first, but started hating it with a passion later so the bottle is almost full. I used to revisit it from time to time and never liked it. Thought about giving it out to someone who would enjoy it, but somehow I find it silly and fun today, maybe I just miss summer so much. Will be heading to shower soon and maybe I'll pick something more refreshing to wear before sleep. Have a nice remaining day!
