Default Luckyscent's Astrological Guide to Fragrance

Hello! Just came across this cool guide on Luckyscent and thought it was really fun so I thought I'd share

    https://www.luckyscent.com/luckystars.asp

However you may feel about astrology and other occult sciences please note that it's all in good fun! The suggestions for Virgo were pretty spot on in my opinion. I've been on an eau de cologne sampling binge that includes the unique Frederic Malle's Eau de Magnolia and very masculine Byredo Sunday Cologne (incense in this genre? very different--not bad). Might have to try some of the Heeley fragrances though!

Oh dear, not the boring description of Pisces. Dreamy, hey do they know sharks are fish? Hello, Jaws you look so dreamy. LOL No Pisces and I know a few as well as going by myself, dither, procrastinate, repeat then just go for it. This is my blind buying technique.

The perfume suggestions at least are not the normal aquatic which I hate. But I have never ever wanted to smell like rhubarb. In fact, I have never had the urge to smell like fruit or vegetables.

By the way not ranting at you OP.

Donna--there's much more to your chart than your Sun sign! The sun is your core but it is only one part of your entire natal chart--I have no doubt there are fiery Pisceans

I definitely perused the selections for Sagittarius and Scorpio--my favorite signs!

The suggestions for my sign were practically diametrically opposite to me tastes.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.

A few nice ones listed for my sign.

Creed Virgin Island Water is the lone fragrance recommended for my Leo astrological sign that I have in my collection. Out of all fragrance recommendations for all 12 signs in male, female and unisex groups I own just three more. Interesting.

Apparently, I'm supposed to be an Ambery-tobacco sort of guy. I did not know this before.

"Dramatic notes of seductive florals, earthy musks and exotic amber will express their seductive and sensual personality."

I don't know about that "seductive and sensual personality" but I do love florals and musk.

I want Starblind to check in with this thread. They didn't prescribe big animalics to a single one of the signs they covered.

Surprisingly, they recommended one of my all-time Top 5 for my Virgo soul: Ninfeo Mio.

Thank you for sharing, can relate with the recommendations for both my birth and my rising sign (which apparently becomes more important, almost like a second personality, after turning 35)

As a Leo, I do love Enchanted Forest and Philosykos, but I don't really like L'Air du Desert Marocain and really don't like Virgin Island Water. Weird choices for Leo if you ask me.

You'd have thrown off James Randi's grading curve.

Ahh you're welcome!! I think astrology is fun and I definitely like some (not all) of the recommendations for Virgo. And yes, I would argue that your rising sign is just as important as your sun--think of it as the mask you present to the world, a filter through which your personality shines through

For sure! I imagine more assertive fragrances for those born under Leo. Philosykos is absolutely lovely, both the eau de toilette and parfum.

Interestingly, I got a 50% hit rate as a Libra guy: Heeley Cuir Plaine Fleur and MDCI Invasion Barbare.

Heeley's was the only rec for Librans that I can even tolerate.

The Libra rec’s we’re especially bad, IMO. My Libra bff loves unusual florals and the occasional modern chypre. My Libra son loves vanilla, Patchouli, and anything cuddly.

Of course they recommend warm ambers for the Scorpios. Talk about stereotyping. Not that I’m not wearing something warm and ambery now...
My only regrets in life are the people I haven't stood up for,
and the perfumes I've thrown away.

Perfect. People will think that I'm a dreamy, caring Cancer or Pisces (can't remember which is the rising and which the other one) whilst my inner Capricorn will dispatch of them as soon as they become a burden on my way to better things. Cult leader in the making?

I'm gonna argue that Silver Mountain Water and Sel Marin are definitely unisex and I definitely rock both. I don't agree with the women's scents though.

Why do the Sagittarians get the sandalwood, frankincense, myrrh and rose? I want those... maybe I’ll change my sign.
