On the bright side, Jux, you (we) are overcoming some germies now, ahead of our Chicago event. I have just a runny nose and think the flu shot I got last fall may minimize what might otherwise be a full-blown cold.

Going to snuggle down with Margiela Across Sands, sweet dates and an ambery oud.

Thanks for the well-wishes, Jon. It really sucks to have to drag myself to work when I'm dragging, but I had to come in today.

I've never tried that, if it helps with this nose I definitely should.

Good point! I didn't get the flu shot last year and was out for over a week. This year I did and hopefully this will be the only thing I come down with for the rest of the season. I suspect my boss who came in sick last week. Or my daughter who was also sick for a day then got over it.

On a SOTD note, I did receive a bottle of Thameen Regent Leather today in the mail and despite my cold I couldn't resist testing it out just to confirm the quality. Dang this stuff is strong. It's cutting through my stuffy nose with only two spritzes on my wrist and one to the neck under my collar. It's a really lovely sophisticated fragrance. One of the few leather influenced scents that work for me.

Thank you for your healing vibes, Jon, HouseOfPhlegethon and others! Thanks to you (and to wool socks and lots of spice tea with milk and honey, too, I guess) I am feeling much much better this evening!
So I'm also sending healing vibes to everyone who's feeling unwell!

HouseOfPhlegethon, congrats on your findings! Finding Organza Indecense is a joy on its own, or at least it would be to me.

teardrop, there's lots of days in a row without having a rest. I wish you lots of strength tomorrow! You deserve that weekend, I hope you can get some rest during it.

Sending some more healing and restful vibes to everyone before going to bed!

Hugs to cazaubon. Wishing you a less painful day tomorrow.

And I hope that all who are suffering with why-isn't-it-spring-yet colds recover quickly!!

Thursdays are always busy for me, so I'm checking in late--SotD was Amouage Bracken Woman. It's definitely very different from my usual florals--it lists a couple of florals like narcissus, but for me it's very green and...well...bracken-y. SotE is Bottega Veneta Knot.

This was the last crazy Thursday morning--I do a Shakespeare club with a friend that rehearses Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and our field trip to the festival/ performance is next Tuesday. The kids are not. ready. to. perform. They're doing a 20 minute comedy version of MacBeth, with cheerleaders and emo kids instead of Scottish thanes and witches. Lots of potential and some hilarious moments, but they keep losing it and laughing at themselves. (Because middle school.) Oh well--it should still be a lot of fun.

I really like FF as well. I think it's underrated. The almond is so unique and delightful.
