Default What is your traveling strategy?

Personally I take bottles not too expensive (donít want my good stuff messed up) and never any bottles more than 50 ml. Usually take stuff that comes smaller (10 ml Malle bottles or those travel sprays of Kilian). If I go somewhere that I can shop for new scents Iíll almost certainly buy a new bottle while away so I pack knowing that.

The Dior homme series at 50 ml (either DH or DHE) works well for this. I generally hate to decant into those little sprayers but on occasion I will before a trip.

I never bring full bottles. I tend to opt for the 5ml glass decant containers for a select few of my scents.

Only take one bottle when I leave the US - Gengis Khan, whether it's for one week or one month, as is the case this week.

I typically decant my fragrances into 5ml glass sprayers (often I prefer the sprayer on the little decants to the FB) and take a handful of whatever fragrance fits the occasion and reason for travel.

I was away for almost two months and brought a dozen 10 ml decants. I couldn’t imagine myself wearing just a few scents for that duration. In additon, I didn’t want to bring too many bottles because I knew on the way back home, I would mostly likely buy some new scents which I did duty-free at the airport.

I bring decants only. Usually 10ml, sometimes 5ml. I’ll try to pack things that fit the time and place, and will take anywhere from 2-10 options depending on the length of the trip.

Usually compromise with one bottle and several samples/smaller decants, but sometimes I'll exclusively take samples and decants.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.

Typically 2-5 x 8-10 ml decants, depending on duration of travel. I like to leave room in the luggage for full bottle purchase(s).

This, though I rarely buy fragrance on my travels. Also, the decants I bring with me are usually things I don't have FBs of, so it's a good time to road test for me.

What is this "traveling" you speak of?
Itís tragic to think that heroic manís great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.

Little atomisers. Works fine for flights, road and sea travel. Doesn't take up too much space and usually 3-5mL would last a week by itself so chuck a few in and you've an abundance of smellies.

Haven't travelled anywhere in years. When I did, I packed a bottle of Poison. Nowadays, I'd probably bring a decant of something not too loud, then perfume-shop along the way.

    Previously usually 1 bottle,
    Latest trips
    Lisbon - wonderwood
    Lisbon - Dunhill Desire
    KSA - Pour Lui
    Morocco - Pourui
Lol bad memory can't remember others
Got a few smaller bottles <100ml so I'd be tempted to huck a few in on next trip.
Likely be a bit more discerning in choice now ( climate based + more experienced)
Finally, got loads 10ml atomisers now so it'll be a selection on next trip)
Incidentally, hopefully Paris ( brexit dependant sheeesh!), Will go for something bombastic!

One bottle of my fave at the time and maybe a sample decant. Honestly I’m not sure if it’s being TSA Precheck or them being lazy but they never check bottle size at airport anymore

Usually I just grab a handful of decants on the way out the door without much forethought.

I will say if it's going to be a longer trip to a warm locale, I almost always take some Dior Eau Sauvage in a travel atomizer.

I have some 1 oz. bottles and they usually make it into my travel kit. I happen to have a few one ounce bottles of Dunhill d that I very often take and even though originally I did not think too much of it, now I really enjoy it and it reminds me of traveling. I also have a refillable travel size of Icon that I use often.

I'm out of the country for 2 months at a time, 3 times a year. I bring a 100ml of a daily dumb reach crowd-pleaser that I like, then several 10 ml decants for variety.

Normally 1 bottle if it's a week to 2, most likely 100ml - it's invariably Eau Sauvage edt vtg / Capucci PH vtg / l'Humaniste / Reflection man or the likes, which are best suited for office.

    Last two vacations:
Mexico 5 days, Creed Pure White Cologne (day), YSL Tuxedo (night)
Thailand 3 weeks, Creed MI and MFK Petit Matin (day), Malle French Lover and YSL Tuxedo (night)
