    Default Vintage Chanel Pour Monsieur....performance?

Anyone have any experience with the longevity and projection on this one?

For myself I got good longevity somewhere around 6-8 hours, significantly more on warmer days. The silage is rather moderate. After a few hours it stayed closer to the skin.

For me, performance is very good.

Projects very well for the first 2-3 hrs; but longevity is about 5-6 hrs with about 6 sprays.

1980-1990 is about this. By early 90's Oakmoss is cut way back it's dynamic has changed.
Scarcity is an illusion. Unlearn it.

I find the projection adequate- it’s never a loud fragrance to begin with. Longevity is equally acceptable to me still detectable on skin after 5-6 hours, longer if applied on fabric. Of course, YMMV with relative humidity.

It was never a monster even in vintage, and I feel is better for an evening than all-day use. Was probably worn this way by gents in the 50's.

Like they said above, it was never intended to be a powerhouse. Some of my older boxes contained a little pamphlet that described it as something like "a virile chypre that becomes part of you rather than surrounding you like a halo”. The mid-2000's bottles I had were spicier, a little sweeter, not as much clarity, but still smelled great. I'd buy ten of those. They were also a little more substantial and possibly more satisfying than the older stuff. The bottle I bought from Chanel USA last year smelled like a vile mixture of citrus peel and aluminum. It functioned at the high end of the average homeopathic dilution. I exchanged it for another one and it was the same. Pour Monsieur EDT is now discontinued in the US. It isn't his style of fragrance, but I told them to have Olivier Polge look at it. Maybe he can do something to improve it before it's gone for good.

Generally getting 4-5 hors of moderate projection, 8 hours or more as a skin scent from the vintage formulation of this
