Hello all! teardrop, I hope the mister feels better soon! I'm working from home today, so I'm taking the opportunity to douse myself in vintage Sublime. It's a little more skanky than the current formulation, but both are lovely and sunny.

rynegne, pineapple + sandalwood sounds dreamy! I have found that I have a deep love of tropical fruity-florals with unexpected twists, like the banana and patchouli notes that I get from Toukka Ta Tao by House of Matriarch. Pineapple and sandalwood sound right up my alley!

Edited to offer well-wishes to teardrop, too, and to any other BNers who are down with the icky kind of spring fever.

    +1 to this!

Late check in today because omg busy...did 3 hrs of prep for the lesson today between yesterday and arriving early today but totally worth it...observed by central office admins and we were amazing. (I'm dept chair.) They were blown away, and if all goes as I hope that means they will LEAVE US ALONE TO DO OUR DING DANG JOBS for at least a year.

SotD was Chanel 1932...subtle but sophisticated.

SotE will be L'HB modern edp.

Wishing a quick recovery to you and the mister, teardrop! Glad to hear you are taking time off.

And Trilby, so glad to hear your restoration is going well!!

I’m wearing Tuberose Flash today. I had not worn it for several months and I quite enjoyed it. A touch of grape candy keeps it light-hearted and not too serious.

I consider Carre Blanc the ugly duckling amongst the group of samples the we've tried from The Zoo. My least favorite from the line.

Shades, since you enjoy Tuberose Flash. I recommend you trying Rouge Perfumery Champs Lunaires . It a bright full bodied tuberose scent, I think you might enjoy it.

Well, it is four minutes to midnight and I made it to post my scent of the day: Vintage Mitsouko from dear mikeperez23... This was THE FIRST perfume I started collecting - found a vintage bottle of pure perfume on eBay and that's where it all began. I didn't love her at first, but now I imagine wanting to keep her around pretty much as one of my top 3 all time favorites. Warm peaches and dry incense - better stop and post before the stroke of midnight! Good night!
"Like a lobster with a pearl in its claw, the beet held the jasmine firmly without crushing or obscuring it. Beet lifted jasmine, the way a bullnecked partner lifts a ballerina, and the pair came on stage on citron's fluty cue. As if jasmine were a collection of beautiful paintings, beet hung it in the galleries of the nose, insured it against fire or theft, threw a party to celebrate it. Citron mailed the invitations." Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins p. 189

What I am loving right now: Shalimar vintage extrait, Chanel Bois des Iles, Chanel no. 22, Le Labo Iris 39, Guerlain Iris Ganache
