Question Stephane Humbert Lucas 777 - Your Views Please ?

I tried one from the range called 'Rose de Petra' and I'm impressed. It's quite a bizarre mix of rose and spices, (to my nose predominantly cumin). It works really well and sillage/ longevity are enormous.

I'm curious to know about the others...

Mortal Skin fan here, but YMMV. Very primal and dark. Think overripe fruits, ink, incense and musk. Works for me, but not for many others.

This house is a favorite of my son's who has probably all of their releases. He especially loves 2022 Generation Homme, Oumma, Lufu and O Hira. I think they are all very nice, but don't own any myself.

    Own and LOVE:

Mortal Skin (powdery/iris scented version of Blackbird IMO)
2022 Generation Man (light fresh yuzu vs. dark wood/oud/blackcurrant) - perfect yin/yang type of scent.
Black Gemstone (Goes on a little harsh, but quickly becomes smooth and nice. Classy and resinous olibanum - office safe, yet mysterious).

Have samples of most of the others - even the ones I don't particularly like that much, I have respect for. They are well made scents and seem to use nice ingredients. This is not one of those niche houses with just the aromachemical overload recipes.
    Current Summer Favorites:

    1. Xerjoff - Nio
    2. Tom Ford - Rive d’Ambre
    3. Dior - Homme Cologne 2013
    4. The Different Company - De Bachmakov
    5. Armani - Code Sport Athlete
    6. Montale - Aoud Legacy
    7. Dior - Homme Sport 2008

    9. Ermenegildo Zegna - Sicilian Mandarin
    10. Creed - Pure White Cologne

I recalled Rose de Petra sometime ago, I remember not enjoying it as much. It was a spicy rose scent with woods in the drydown.

The one that I wanted to try was Taklamakan. It's a balsamic woody oriental scent.

When I was a small boy our family would get the L.A. Times and on Sundays I'd love to go through it, and smell it. The ink had a pleasurable smell. Mortal Skin reminds me of that and is very pleasurable to smell like that ink.

I'm becoming a huge fan of this house.
FYI: I spray all fragrances on clothing, never on skin.

    Big fan of:

    Oud 777
    Black Gemstone
    Mortal Skin
Also own Une Nuit a Doha. Not into gourmands but this is bottle worthy.

All are of good quality and perform well - almost too well as in near beast mode.

These are all sample first, risky to blind buy.

Our local seller dropped the brand so I have not tried the newer releases.

I really like Black Gemstone and O'Hira. 2022 i just got off a guy here so havent given it a full try yet but initial impressions are good. Mortal Skin also is worth trying but i personally wasnt in love. Havent tried any others but based off pretty much all positive of the ones ive tried, i am thinking i am going to try to sample all of them soon.

Taklamakan is in my top 10. Earthy. Gently herbal. Leather. Vanilla. Musk. Hint of Rose. Sweet balsamic and creamy labdanum. That’s my take. It’s very sophisticated.

Tried a couple from this brand, mostly non favorable to me. Although beautiful packaging and bottles.. all of the frags were heavy on smokey and floral notes. I have not tried Mortal Skin, or Black Gemstone, which look to be the 2 gems of the line.
