Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. Morning all!

Still feeling decidedly rough today, but l'm determined to get a little gardening done. l'm fed up with being cooped up on these lovely spring days!

Giving a second wearing to my sample of The Actress by St Giles, created exclusively for Roullier White by Bertrand Duchaufour. lt's a creamy white floral sharpened up with basil & tomato leaf, & l think it will harmonise well with the smells of the garden today.

I see that spring is again decaying my attendance here at BN. That explains my hit-and-miss attendance, f.y.i. Still do love you folks. No scent yet today.

Hello everyone Today is the farewell " party" for what has been my favourite hang out pub in Tromsø. It has such intimate atmosphere, and I will miss it a lot. I'm just hoping the weather will improve. It's grey and snowing a lot. The bf chose my scent today, which is Chêne. Teardrop, get well soon!

So, some people would like to know my first impressions of the new Pina by madhat scents...
It's damn good. If you've tried la chance XVI it's there, there's the obvious added pineapple that switches between fruity/fizzy and a greener note. There is a strong woodyness that reins in the pineapple a little but it works. Women, you can wear it

Ineespenes, I’m so sorry you’re losing your special place:

I’m wearing Philosophy Amazing Grace today. We’re shopping for kitchen appliances today and staying away from the high end stores. Some of the prices are shocking! I just want stuff that works and looks nice. I am looking at an Italian style food prep sink though. My cooking specialty is vegetables, lots of vegetables!

    Have a good day.

Hey I am twinned today with Hednic! Creme de Cuir BDK perfumes for this Saturday at work. Me gusta, but I suspect this would only work in cool weather. It is a leather (obvious from the name) with some very cool-toned fruits and sweetness, it is not quite clean smelling but pleasantly ozonic.

Let's just repeat that: you travel with two cats and two birds in a car???

I once drove 1,200 miles with just two cats in a car and almost lost my mind.

Hi all! I am on a short weekend trip to Baltimore to see a friend from high school. Massages, tapas, and lots of catching up. SotD is En Passant (off rotation) in honor of the beautiful weather and also so I didn't choke my fellow passengers on public transit. Planning on something bigger for tonight.

Thanks, tdem! Glad you're on the mend.

Thanks also to lne! Sorry to hear about the closure of your favourite hangout. Special places like that are very hard to replace.

Liz B, sounds like you have a great weekend planned, enjoy!

l think getting a bit of fresh air & sunshine did me good today, although my tired muscles say otherwise.

Post shower, l'm giving a second wearing to my sample of Larmes du Desert, a fuzzy, golden incense, & looking forward to getting Chinese take-out this evening.

Ines, sorry about the hang-out closing. I felt that way (sad) about a place once...

Hi, everyone -- and get well wishes to teardrop, tdem, and anyone else feeling under the weather. This cold and flu season has been the worst I can remember, both personally and for my friends and family. Sheesh!

(((Ine))), I'm so sorry about your pub closing. Having that kind of place is such a comfort. I hope you're able to find another one soon. And I hope this summer brings you loads of fun at concerts and festivals.

My BN attendance has been suffering, but not for any happy reasons. David's dad died on March 13 at age 71. Although his health had been in sort of a general decline since a stroke 5 years ago, this was sudden and unexpected, so we flew to California to be with family for about a week. Then, once we arrived back home, I had to turn around and fly out again for a couple of days onsite at my work engagement. There has been too much travel this year for me. I need to settle into some kind of routine. Getting outside will help once the weather starts cooperating consistently and once things dry out here.

The flooding in Nebraska has been heartbreaking. The WHOLE state flooded. The impact on livestock and, even more importantly, farmland may not be fully understood for a few years. Valuable topsoil has buried under multiple feet of sand, silt, and clay, and the contamination . . . no one knows the extent of it because there's still so much under water, but it looks like it's going to be bad.

I promise I'm not as miserable and negative as I sound. I'm glad spring seems to be coming, and things are generally looking up. And I'm really looking forward to the Chicago meet-up!

I've been wearing the heck out of Papillon Artisan Perfumes Angelique and A Lab on Fire California Snow this spring, but I'm not quite sure what I'll be wearing this morning. The remnants of last night's MFK Grand Soir are still going strong.

I’m testing Les Exceptions: Cuir Impertinent today. OMG but this is so gorgeous! It’s a smoky leather, sweet tobacco scent with a touch of a greenish herbal note weaving in and out. Love it! It has turned back to winter here ... it’s cool with even a few snow flurries this morning. So ready for Spring!

hugs to all (and extras for ExtremeK) ...
