    Just a bit.

    From Wikipedia:

" M. sexta larvae are green and grow up to 70 millimeters in length. Under laboratory conditions, when fed a wheat-germ-based diet, larvae are turquoise due to a lack of pigments in their diet. M. sexta hemolymph (blood) contains the blue-colored protein insecticyanin. When the larva feeds on plants, it ingests pigmentacious carotenoids. Carotenoids are primarily yellow in hue. The resulting combination is green. "

In other news, I sweated myself into needing a shower. Lack of foresight seems to be dogging me. I'm in Love's Baby Soft layered with A Lilac a Day layered with Teint de Neige.

Still have not made it to Home Depot for peat pots.

Shycat, I saw on Pinterest to use ice cream cones to start plants ... I wasn’t sure if that would work or not with that much sugar in them.

I have never heard of using ice-cream cones! Although it would probably work fine, the sugar shouldn't matter, salt is what you want to avoid. My favorite method for seedling starts is cardboard egg cartons -- very convenient for watering and moving with them being attached at the beginning, and then when the seedlings sprout you just cut the carton apart and plant each cardboard cup directly in the ground!

(Aside: gardening is another one of my passions! Sadly I'm in a condo right now, but hopefully buying a house in the next year. So far my only requirement for the house is that it have a huge yard/garden that I can fill with the loveliest smelling flowers and MAYBE try making my own perfume? Or at least essential oils? <3)

    Ha! So many giggles today!

Shycat, I think it's because Home Depot is the worst! All of the people who can't park, drive, or get out of the way with their stupid big carts...

    Carnal Flower today.

And omg, I have to buy a new car. Misery. But I did get preapproved for a car loan to make things easier.

Also, reading glasses are officially necessary as of last weekend. Grr.

Today went fine but I'm not ready for tomorrow and I don't really have time to pick out a new car.

Hugs to you, Shades! I'm not buying the ice cream cone plan--seems very risky. Ice cream cones are sold close to the actual ice cream. They are such pretty colors here as we approach Easter...and so good with brown things besides dirt. Chocolate things. Risky.

The eggs I buy come in nasty plastic. I have heard of toilet paper tubes but idk. Peat pots are tradition, I guess.

I'm fond of Home Depot. It's fantasy land. On the other hand, reading glasses are also my reality and car shopping just got finished. I hated it and was massively relieved to have it behind me--so sympathies from me!

Shycat, I’m guessing that among your years-old friends, there are tales about winding you up and watching you go. You’ve had me in stitches today.

This is going to surprise precisely no one, but teardrop managed to get me lemming for Adjatay, thanks to her yammering on about it without ANY help whatsoever from me or Jon. So, yeah, I’m spending tonight in a veritable cloud of that gorgeous smoky leather tuberose.
