Default Best Automobile Brand Masculine Fragrances

I'm committed to a basic principle that good fragrances can come from anywhere, that it doesn't matter what it says on the bottle or the box as long as the juice is good and the price is fair.

However, I've let my snobbishness get in the way in one respect: I've turned my nose up at any automobile-brand designer fragrances. I know many of you like one or more offerings from this category. So go ahead, make your case for the best men's auto frags so that I can build a list of stuff to sample over the next year or so.

I've tried many of these auto fragrances over the years. I liked many of them. However, I think the only one that I own the full bottle is Bentley Azure, although I'm sure many will argue that Bentley Intense is their best offering.

As a rule, I find them above average: Bentley for Men Intense and several of the Ferrari fragrances have been nice recent releases. Going back to older releases, Bugatti and Jaguar are nice fragrances.

I haven't tried that many automobile fragrances, but I've had good luck with the few I've tried.

So far, had good experiences with:

    - vintage Jaguar "green",

    - also at least one vintage formulation of a Bugatti fragrance cannot remember its name

    - along with a theoretically/officially feminine but technically unisex further Jaguar fragrance, while Lamborghini fragrances may be even lower in pricing though not necessarily in quality

    - and not forgetting the Bentley masculines, have so far enjoyed for Men and the gourmand notes of Intense

Bentley for Men Intense is the one I've seen mentioned most often. It's on the list for when the weather turns cool again.

Interesting. No reviews at Fragrantica *or* Basenotes. Very pleasant-seeming note list, though.

How are the Porsche Design fragrances? I've never smelled one.

    A few that I love:

    Bentley for Men Absolute
    Ferrari Bright Neroli
    Ferrari Radiant Bergamot

Mercedes Benz VIP Club Black Leather is a nice, easy-to-wear leather fragrance, sort of a simpler but more soundly composed John Varvatos original.

Mercedes Benz Man Private is a very good traditional, spicy masculine.

Bentley for Men Intense is a very good woody-spicy-boozy oriental.

Ferrari Radiant Bergamot is a really nice take on Bergamot and a breeze to wear. It's fun and somewhat unique, and a good reach any time in the spring or summer.

And that's about where my love for automobile fragrances ends. Though there are many other decent ones between Mercedes and Ferrari, I wouldn't say there are any others that are strong likes for me. At the same time, there are many (especially from Mercedes) that I haven't sampled.

Ferrari is doing a nice job of keeping the quality up in their latest efforts.

I have a FB of Leather Essence and am really pleased.

On the super-cheapie side, Mustang (2007) is surprisingly good for the $12 you'll pay. A nice, easy-to-like dumb grab, for sure.

Probably the best car perfume I've tried, although Bentley Intense is very good as well.

    Discontinued and rather expensive now.
    Most worn:

I like most of the recent releases from Ferrari. Uomo is a little older but that one is my favorite from the line.

Ettore Bugatti by Diana Di Silva - a masterpiece. Original version can stand up to the much revered Patou Pour Homme and such; the 2'nd / later versions are 80-90% of the original. Still available - grab it while it lasts...

Is the frosted bottle with yellow metal cap original version or is that 2nd ?

This is excellent. I have the second Diana de Silva version, and it's well worth seeking out.
