Default Found samples I forgot I had - my lucky day

I was going through my sample selection determining which ones to wear again or give away (I had family in town happy to relieve me of those I don't care for) and I found a packet of samples I received from an order I never got to try. I felt it was like my birthday again! I guess it comes when I get too many sample orders in at once a few are bound to get waylaid in the process. Any other fans of sample orders go through the same thing?

Yes...I love it when I find some samples I forgot I had and haven't tried yet! It's like discovering some buried treasure!

It has happened to me countless of times. It also made me realize the sample pile has exceeded my memory capability.

This never happened to me, because l'm such a nerd! Whenever l acquire samples, l immediately add them to my sample list in my basenotes wardrobe. l love lists, & l like being able to keep track of everything. The idea of losing stuff fills me with horror!

OMG! I feel your pain! I really hate this OCD that I have. Would rather prefer to discover some lost things, but I never lose them

I love this too ! The problem is that most of them are from an era before they were reformulated, so I think of them more as historic relics, rather than something I could purchase today.

I've never had that happen, but I have discovered samples that have rolled underneath my couch. Does that count?

Oh yes, my samples are 'hidden' everywhere.

Congrats on finding the lost treasure!

I'm kind of odd. I track all of my bottles and samples on an excel spreadsheet. The first column is the house, second column is the fragrance name, the third column is the bottle size I have ( I use "vial" for all of my testers, no matter the size), the fourth column was an attempt to look up all the batch codes and date them. However, I couldn't find many of them on the two usual databases, and I question the validity of them anyway, so I got lazy about keeping that column updated.

It's also color coded. Black font is for full bottles I own. Red font is for testers I own but want a full bottle of. I need to add a third color though. One for testers I own, and have tried, but am not planning to buy a full bottle of. Once I use the tester I write NA for the third column as I no longer have any of the fragrance left. The color of that font lets me know if I'd like a full bottle as I use the test vials up.

I keep all my samples with my bottles, so I haven't lost any thus far.
