Default Aldehyde C-12 Lauric - solid?

I purchased some Aldehyde C-12 Lauric, 112-54-9, and it arrived as a solid - very reminiscent of wax, but on the hard / flake-y end. I've not worked with it before, so I'm not sure how to deal with it. I tried to dissolve it to 10% in ETOH, 1% in ETOH, and 10% in TEC, but nothing has worked - at best, I've gotten a cloudy liquid with solid flakes in in.

Any suggestions on how to get this dissolved to a workable state?

Well that disappointing to hear. I guess I'm going back to the manufacturer to see what they'll do for me!

Oh, please don't blame your suplier, C12 lauric aldehyde is a hard to deal with molecule. My opinion, off course.
When he shiped it to you, it was a liquid.

I'm certainly not blaming them or saying there was any deliberate mishandling; I'm just hoping they'll be willing to work with me and replace it!

Honestly, I keep buying C-12 Lauric, when it gets crystallized,... It's just one of those things that you can't just buy a stock and hold it... buy small, repeatedly...
