Guerlain Songe d'un Bois d'Ete if you find it. I understand that it has been replaced by Guerlain Bois Mysterieux which is almost the same formula (less animalic).

But I struggle to understand how smelling like you have poor personal hygiene can be considered ‘masculine’. Even before the days of piped water, there are these naturally occurring things called ‘streams’, ‘rivers’ and ‘rain’.

Wow - these were my thoughts on the topic exactly. OP is not looking for a masculine scent, but instead looking for the scent of a filthy man. Avoiding smelling like this is why fragrances were invented.

But if you want to smell like some nasty crotch after a basketball game, then you could give Xerjoff Zafar a try...

+1 on these two. GGA has more leather, NA has an amazing Chinese hot pepper note, both have very dry, masculine woods.

We go from "Really masculine" to "unapologetically masculine". What about those of us who have graduated to "Alpha masculine"?

Aqua Velva is my current masculine favorite. Classic fragrance, still in good formulation, widely available, and well-priced. Hard to beat such a winning proposition.

Knize ten... probably not cheap as chips. On the other hand there is Bogart signature which you can pick up for a song.

While seconding that this one may not be exactly cheap, luckily Knize Ten is for now at least not lavishly, prohibitively overpriced either (also, excluding grey market/heavily discounted suppliers as well) while providing decent pricing for unapologetic masculinity and performance

+ 1 for Mazzolari Lui and Yatagan. Not sure of the current Aramis.
Perhaps also 1805 from Beaufort of London and Testosterone would fit the bill?

    Hello all,

Nastka, here I am ! Thanks for thinking of me!
OP, per your request, the (so called rank Fragrances) are my favorites. I must say, all the above suggestions are excellent suggestions! notspendingamillion bet me to it! I was going to suggest : 50ml Marlou d'ambiguite. LOVE it! I mostly wear d'ambiguite for those "SPECIAL" times! That being said, I soooooo love (yet don't yet own a bottle, only decant) is SERGE LUTENS MUSC KOUBLAI KHAN. A true MASTERPIECE! If you can find Bogart Furyo, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Regarding ELd'O (Etat Libre d'Orange) I suggest "Rein INTENSE" if you can find it. You might also want to consider "Imaginary Authors" BULLS BLOOD. Ryn's suggestion of Masque Milano Montecristo (as is the Fragrance) is OUTSTANDING! MMM is at THE very top of my "want" list along with Raina J. OUD ASSAM which is stunningly beautiful! I have yet to try (but so want to) Christian Dior HARD LEATHER. Also excellent is "Boadicea the Victorious" COMPLEX as is "Bogue" MAAI. Oooh, ELd'O "MARQUIS DE SADE" is pretty damn good! I also want to try "Zooligist" T-REX. Oooh, I would be remiss if I did not recommend "Santa Maria Novella" ACQUA DI CUBA as well as "L'Artisan DZING!" Mind you OP, this Rabbit Hole is deeeeeeep!

    Best of luck.
    Regards,
    SixCats!

None of my scents smells like no-holds-barred, sweaty ballsack, musty locker room mess, in-your-face crotchness, I'm afraid. Personally I like to think that my personal ballsack smells like Straight to Heaven. Paco Rabanna La Nuit supposedly smells like horse sweat. It's for women though.

I think you spelled that wrong...
It’s tragic to think that heroic man’s great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.
