These are two different scents. Un Air da Samsara is an aromatic green floral that focus on the narcissus florals and green mint notes. It opens with a nice citrusy mint accord which gradually fades to a bed of florals - the narcissus and jasmine. What it does share with the original is the slight powdery feel and jasmine florals. Airy and refreshing. It's discontinued though but you can find it for a very affordable price.

I am in Piña by mad hatter Ryan. Such a cool scent, may be the smell of the summer as we sip tepache on the porch.

Kewart, I hope you feel better soon. A cold is trying to catch me too, I am running away as fast as I can but sort of sniffly yuck. One daughter is sick and the husband is in same boat as me. Will go for a walk in the sun this afternoon, take a break from work.

    Happy Wednesday, everyone.

I would like to think the flu and colds would be tapering off now that the weather is warming up but I guess we're not out of the woods yet.

I'm wearing Amyris Femme this morning, one of my most-worn scents. Tanya Sanchez in the new Guide said, "I absolutely cannot imagine how any self-respecting woman would smell this nondescript, sour, dowdy floral and feel it's for her." But it is for me! I think it smells lovely.

Agreed! It's really pretty and perfect for warm weather!

I started off the day in Infusion d'Iris and now have switched to ELdO You or Someone Like You. Also, there is some plant out here (I'm sitting in the back yard of our vacation townhome) that smells beautifully of spices.

Finishing the day with an experiment: I love Marchesa d’Extase (probably because it was one of my first loves), but it lasts about 5 minutes. This evening I applied Vaseline to my wrists, layered Kuumba Made Egyptian Musk on top of that, and then finished with a couple sprays of d’Extase.

The result: A bit of a strong pine-sap-soap scent at the beginning (I could practically taste it >.<), but now 45 minutes later it’s settled into a quite lovely musky-woody fragrance with the iris and violet leaf still very much present! <33

I sampled Rogue Perfumery Derviche today, and something totally expected happened -- I loved it I wrote more about it in the Rogue Sample Pass thread in GFD. For me, it's a cherry tobacco fragrance, not a straight gourmand, and it's wonderful. It highlights both the tobacco leaf and tobacco smoke, and the jasmine and civet make it really hum. I'll be shocked if you don't love this one, teardrop.

My favorites of the Rogue line: (1) Mousse Illuminee; (2) Derviche; and (3) Chypre Siam. All three of them will be joining my collection.

I hope you feel better soon, kewart -- and I second Quarry's concern. You should definitely get that checked out soon!

LizB, it looks like you're having fun on vacation! By chance, did you take that second photo (with the bright blue sky) on one of the hikes around Enchantment resort?
