Default Is it worth seeking out vintage Knize Ten

I enjoy Knize Ten but I have the strong feeling it’s been denuded.

How far back is practical to buy, and do you suggest a particular period, box type, batch, etc.?

Or is the current formulation really good and no big advantage to the vintage?

Diluted is not the issue, IMO. I had a CH21 batch and it was fine, strength-wise. However, I do think that "deep vintage" is a bit more complex and has a bit more depth (though that doesn't mean you will have the same perception, of course). After selling my CH21 bottle I acquired a partial 50 ml that didn't have a batch code on it and that was consistent with a decant I obtained in a swap around 10 years ago. People have said CH22 batches and up are not as good as CH21 and previous, so that may be a good guide. I'm not sure anyone knows more than that here on BN, at least in terms of what I have read, but you can searh this vintage forum - I'm sure there's an older K10 thread here.

I don't know if I smelled the very latest, but recent ones seeemed good enough to me. For what I have smelled (eg Osmotheque), vintage is deeper and has more oakmoss. But I suspect prices of vintage would be very high.

I agree that the vintage is deeper (I have both) but frankly, this is such a dense scent to begin with that lightening it up a bit actually makes it more wearable. The Golden Edition is really good, too, if you get a chance.
Very clearly a case for corn flakes and classics
