Default Niche and indie fragrance houses/stores in Montreal?

    Hello,

I’m headed to Montreal for a few days and wanted to see if anyone knew of any niche/indie fragrance houses as well as stores that carry fragrances other than the mass market brands.

    Thanks,

    Barry

    Hi Barry!
There is a small boutique called Etiket. Best fragrance shopping in town, the owner of the boutique is amazing and they carry stuff that is hard to find elsewhere. There is also Ogilvy and Holt Renfrew that carry most of the niche lines. They are all in a walking distance from one another. Enjoy the city
    Cheers!

Thanks! I found Etiket...great store! They have tons of fragrances and their employees are really helpful.

Yes, Simon at Etiket is excellent, and knowledgeable too. Extremely helpful.

Ogilvy has just had a refit, and carries a good range.

Ogilvy & Holt Renfrew have merged and have a nice new perfume area in the basement of the Ogilvy building on St. Catherine’s. There is also Henriette L on Laurier.

I visited last September and need to get back, especially to Etiket. Great shop and experience. So helpful, informative, and pressure free. No slouches for online orders either. I received a recent order, in Toronto, less than 24 hours after placing it. Nobody in Canada beats them.

Yeah I went there in May. It’s a very nice store and they have a ton of niche brands.

There is also Henriette L on av. Laurier. I think they have added additional stuff since this web page was introduced:

They carry different niche lines from Etiket, both good niche sources.

Next day—news flash: coincidentally, Henriette L sent out a notice today that they are now carrying Parfums de Nicolaï. No affiliation on my part, by the way.
