Tried this in Douglas Berlin. Powdery and synthetic. Smells as something from Beckham/Mexx. Not even 1% similarity to Cool Water.

Weird. I don't see myself enjoying this, but I am interested in trying it nonetheless.

Probably the synthetic notes (which is, in my opinion, the main difference between Cool Water and GIT, smell wise.) Overly synthetic compounds in fragrances can induce nausea in some people. I personally really enjoy Cool Water and have since I was a kid but I remember it making my mom literally ill to smell it.

This certainly looks like something I would enjoy but even at the (surely) cheap price point, I'll need to sample this first. The smattering of comments about it on Fragrantica aren't exactly glowing...but for a cheapie, it might still be worth it. I am still looking for a scent to bring on my cruise to the Bahamas in January...

    This is probably the case.

Found a decant of this on the Bay for a rock bottom price, so I ordered 5 ml. I'm in Afghanistan right now so it will take a few weeks to get to me, but I'll report back with my thoughts when it does arrive.

You really think GIT contains more "nautral" ingredients than CW? They're both equally synthetic, GIT is just a more dense, concentrated mixture. Don't buy into their marketing fooey.

Every fragrance in the last 100 years is full of synthetic ingredients. It's not like they are actually crushing up Verbena and Violet and directly inserting into each and every GIT bottle. But Cool Water, being more mass-produced (we assume...a good debate could be had about it though) has a much more synthetic overall scent profile meaning the synthetic molecules are more likely to get lodged into your nose and irritate the parts of one's body that are succeptable to the feelings of being sick from a particular scent.

Fully agree. I adore GIT feeling myself wearing something natural. Wearing Cool Water (2015 batch) I feel myself wearing deodorant. Maybe they are both of 100% synthetics, but the difference is evident!

Based on the few reviews here, it sounds like Davidoff using Cool Water's success to jump on the bandwagon. Making a fragrance called Intense that probably smells something like Invictus Aqua, just like everyone else is doing these days.

You know what actually would be nice... Cool Water INTENSE.

    Welllllllll....

This doesn't smell like Invictus Aqua. It doesn't smell like a souped up Cool Water, either. There is Cool Water DNA in there, but I wouldn't say this is intense by any means. Less performance, actually, then regular old Cool Water. It's powdery in the opening and drydown, but not overly so. It's sweet and fruity without being cloying but neither is it understated on either aspect. Basically, this is a standard mall scent. Maybe skews a little older, like a 40 year old man trying to still be in his late-20s. I wouldn't reccomend it.

Not horrible by any means. But for a fragrance lover, this is about as basic as it gets. For your average Joe, it's a good smell that lasts a few hours, and thats all that most people ask for.

Received my 40 ml Cool Water Intense today. Must say I had high expectations and hadn't been excited about a new fragrance for a long time. Unfortunately CWI doesn't resemble the classic CW at all. It's not a bad scent but just doesn't deserve its name in my opinion. It's not much better than Cool Water Night Dive and definitely nothing special. Had it been more like the original Cool Water with minor adjustments to make it smell a bit more modern, with the great freshness preserved and called simply Cool Water EDP, it would've been perfect. I don't see why they created an entirely different fragrance while the mission was to upgrade/upscale the original, which I'm a huge fan of since my teenage years (27 atm). It's more of a toned down version rather than an 'intense' version. Missed shot, I'm disappointed.

womens version at discounters. I thought it was mens at first, no picture. My bad.
Itís tragic to think that heroic manís great destiny is to become economic man, that men will be reduced to craven creatures who crawl across the globe competing for money, who spend their nights dreaming up new ways to swindle each other.
