Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

Thanks for the healing wishes - I'm still under-the-weather, but slept deeply last night for the first time in a while, which seems to be helping. Just have to let the cold run its course and hope my nose is clear and working by next weekend for the Chicago Meet-Up!

Congrats, foxbins on your posting milestone!

I'm sort-of in sync today - as I had an early morning appointment I needed to be fragrance-free for, so couldn't tote any of my late mother's favorite scents (Dad liked perfume on Mom, but he's not a fragrance kind of guy...) but I'm wearing a fragrance I believe my Mom would've loved (and its on *my* Wishlist, too!), from our own wonderful rynegne, I'm in Madhat Scents Rosa Resin, from a sample.

Rosa Resin Extrait de Parfum fragrance notes: Pink Pepper, Moroccan rose, Spices, Musk, Moroccan rose, Labdanum, Olibanum, Atlas cedarwood, Guaiac wood, Rosewood, Clearwood, Black agar

teardrop, hope today was less taxing at work. Will you will be joining myself and Larimar with a Friday glass (minus the whale puke) this evening ?. Richly deserved, I'd say

Not in synch today. My mother wore Revlon Intimate and Chanel No. 5 and only on special occasions. Dad wore whatever aftershave we gave him on Father's Day--I remember Old Spice and Hai Karate. I'm wearing SJP Stash this morning as I clear out some stuff for a Goodwill donation.

I'm in sync with Rosarium--my mother loves any true rose fragrance (and Highland Lilac, but the roses are her lifetime favorite.)

In Sync in something my Dad wore when I was a kid (like a proper ex-Marine he would scent his handkerchief with this and I have extremely vivid memories of him giving me his handkerchief and it being suffused with the scent of this fragrance):

    Wild Country (vintage) by Avon

It's extremely comforting to me - although now I am able to discern this fragrance with a new found interest and I realize that it's a powder BOMB. Shycat you would love this one!

Thanks for the healing words. I read each kind wish to Mr. Q, naming who you are and where you're located. He liked that a lot. It'll take many months for the ligament to repair, but he's feeling much better.
The magic number for this week is $300. That's what the brief plumber visit cost. That's what I spent at Menards this a.m. for fence posts, pressure-treated lumber, misc. And likewise at the grocery store this morn.I plan to amnesia myself about all this when I get shopping with my BN family next week.
