    Default Summer Incense Recommendations

I live in a fairly hot environment so Iím restricted to wear I g more summer/spring scents for 3/4 of the year.

Iím looking for scent ms that incorporate a winter ingredient into a lighter fragrance. The first that comes to mind and which I already own is Acqua Di Gio Profumo. Can you recommend to me other fragrances that incorporate an incense note or another typically winter ingredient like Amber, tobacco, leather, or perhaps even oud?

I dislike strong patchouli and vetiver.

    Thanks

The classic "fresh" incense is CDG 2 man, which contains incense but feels fresh, like a cold church. It does contain vetiver, but it doesn't come out as strong-so as usual try it first.

For leather, $$$ Acqua di Parma colonia leather is fresh, zingy citrus plus dry leather. It's quite fresh and I like it, but the effect is sharp and butalistic.

Perhaps Incense Oud by Parfums de Nicolai

Possibly also Azzaro Visit, for minimal fresh incense, combined successfully with even fresher woody notes

ADG Profumo's "incense" note is a contentious topic - many believe it's just norlimbanol which can be marketed as a million things but has little relation to real incense. Similarly, Bleu de Chanel, L'eau D'Issey Intense and Givenchy Gentleman Only Intense are all fresh leaning, summer-appropriate designer fragrances that claim to feature incense as well so you may find something similar to what you like in the AdG. But if Profumo is your reference I have a feeling you may be disappointed by recommendations that contain more authentic incense notes.

+1 on CdG 2 Man; also suggest you to check out the Incense series, particularly Kyoto and Zagorsk.

I read profumo as adg + norlimbanol.

I wore CDG 2 Man on Sunday and I got more incense then vetiver. It is not all that much of a grassy vetiver like say Encre Noir or some of the others. I like it

+1 on CdG Zagorsk and Kyoto, and I have worn Avignon year-round, though summer here is not that warm.
+1 for Heeley's Cardinal, which is lighter than Avignon, and fresh.
Spring/early summer rotation : Guerlain Vetiver and Habit Rouge L'Eau; Etro Palais Jamais, Shaal Nur, Dianthus and Gomma; Penhaligon's Juniper Sling and Blenheim Bouquet; Comme des Garcons Zagorsk and Avignon; Dior Fahrenheit; and L.T. Piver Heliotrope

Incense fragrances that I enjoy in the summer:

    Oriza L. Legrand - Reve d'Ossian
    AJ Arabia (Widian) - I / Black I
Serge Lutens - Encens et Lavande
    Neela Vermeire Creations - Trayee

All have a freshness to them that makes them work well in the summer IMO.
    Current Spring Favorites:

    1. Creed - Spice & Wood
    2. by Kilian - Straight to Heaven
    3. Dior - Vetiver
    4. Clive Christian - 1872 for Men
    5. Tom Ford - Rive díAmbre
    6. Ermenegildo Zegna - Javanese Patchouli
    7. Les Nez - Turtle Vetiver Back
    8. Tom Ford - Grey Vetiver EDP
    9. Creed - Green Valley
    10. Parfumerie Generale - Grand Siecle Intense 7.1
