    Eau de Parfum

Have I told you about the scent of jasmine? Have I spoken about the smell of the sea? The earth is scented. And I perfume myself to enhance what I am. That's why I can not wear a perfume that bothers me. Perfuming is an instinctive wisdom. And like all art, it requires some knowledge of yourself..."

It's sunny here too this morning.

I am testing a 5ml samole of Asja by Fendi.
This is by Jean Guichard and reminds me of a lighter version
of Poison or Cinnabar but more wearable than either. It has a delightful mix of
fruits and spices with carnation, ylang ylang and orris. So far so good.

Good morning! Congrats to N.Cal on 35k!

Petit Guerlain to start the day; the original lavender-y mimosa. A pretty scent to combat an ugly grey day. No gardening for me today, boo.

Very excited for everyone heading to Chicago this weekend! You all must be beside yourselves in anticipatory joy! I hope everyone has smooth travels and loads of fun!

Had a little cedar epiphany regarding Bond New Haarlem and SL Feminite du Bois. While NH smells like freshly cut wood and crystalized or burnt sugar, FdB represents aged cedar with soft spice notes.

I'm wearing one on each wrist. They do not harmonize, but I now understand the note that suckers me in to each for varied pleasures.

FdB: Ginger, cinnamon, clove, plum, peach, orange blossom, violet, cedar, sandalwood, vanilla, benzoin

    NH:
    lavender, bergamot, bergamot, coffee, cedar

Bavard, I had that purse spray years and years ago. Refilled it a couple of times, too.

I'm wearing Avignon today, I don't know why. My eye just went to it in the cabinet.

I’ve been on such a Duchaufour kick lately but I haven’t smelled the incense series. How’s it play in hot weather for you?
