Default I'm very new to the fragrance world. How do I know if Creed it authentic? Is it cheaper in Europe?

    Hey guys,

I just recently got interested in fragrances and of course am interested in trying Creed Aventus. I live in the United States but will be in Copenhagen, Rome, and Venice very soon. I've done some research and there are many places in those areas that carry Creed. My questions are: Will it be cheaper there then in the US? And how do I know that it isn't fake?

I know there is a Creed Boutique in Milan, but I dont know if I'll have time to go.

Let me know what you think!

It should be cheaper in Europe than in the US as you wouldn't pay VAT carrying it back to the States.

You can also order it online and get it delivered to your hotel (if you are staying in one).
Aventus starts from 194 EUR for 100ml at authorized online sellers, MSRP is 284 EUR

So I would pay more if I bought it in a store? Also, show would I know that the store isn't selling fakes?

Definitely cheaper in Europe, so that would be the way to go.

If you're buying Creed from an authorized Creed representative, it's not going to be fake.

Buy from Creed directly or an authorized dealer. Retail bottles from department stores such as Saks and Neiman Marcus will certainly be authentic. That is the safest way to buy. If you want a discount online, be sure that the seller has multiple photographs of the bottle and has perfect reviews. Also, if it is too good to be true, it probably is. You won't find an authentic Creed bottle on eBay for $50.

And, yes, it should be cheaper in Europe.

You'll know it's authentic if it makes you smell like everyone else.

You can get authentic "gray market" or European genuine stuff on ebay, just be smart. Go with one of the big established discounters. Like I got a 100 ml bottle of genuine Aventus for $289. Picked an ebay seller with 10,000 reviews, 99.8% positive. I wouldn't go with anyone other than a very well known seller like that. If it's costing less than that, or it's a seller with few transactions, just stay away. Less popular stuff than the Aventus the safe sellers tend to be $180 to $220 depending on whether it's the old 120 ml or the new 100. Good luck.

    My favorites: Aventus, Millisime Imperial
Wife's Favorite Creed: Boi de Portugal

Forget Creed. At least while you’re on this trip. There’s a lot of other good stuff you can sniff in Europe if you keep your mind open.
