Default Help me find something that last for me.

I'm back and have had great difficulty finding a male cologne/parfume that last the day or evening. I have tried many brands, including very expensive ones (Tom Ford Noir, Kirkdijian, Creed, and others). All smelled wonderful when applied, but disappeared quickly...Tom Ford Noir in 20 minutes. I do not have any special skin or temperature problem. Body chem is normal. No oils used or scented soap.

The only lasting fragrances are original Aramis, and Terre DHermes parfume. Aramis last much longer than the Terre. I would like a new fragrance to last at least 5-6 hours. Many were helpful the last time I posted...I'm trying again.

Most try to sell me on another Tom Ford, such as Patchouli? Perhaps there is something in Aramis and Terre that really works with my bio-chem physiology. Also, how does one find the original Aramis; is it still produced?

    All help would be appreciated.

Do you apply an unscented moisturizing lotion to your skin prior to applying scent? That might improve performance.

    I would suggest you Aramis.

Another strong performer is Patchouli Homme by Parfums de Nicolaï.

I spray on my undershirt and rarely complain about performance. Having said that, Amouage fragrances are generally especially good performers.

Spray clothing or spray further away from your nose, nose fatigue happens and others clearly smell you.

You should ask someone else if they can smell you. It might be not your skin, but your nose - you became olfactory fatigue, so you can't smell it anymore. If that's the case - you have to spray your fragrance further away from your nose - like your wrists and your closes on your belly, instead of a chest

I'm surprised TdH Parfum lasted longer on you than TF Noir.
I'd also say anosmia has a part to play here.
Spraying sides or back of neck typically works well for me. Also, lighter sprays under your shirt so you don't overdo it.
Some Creeds last longer than others, or are more notable than others. E.g. Original Santal lasted exceptionally strongly on me.
Xerjoff tend to do heavy-hitting fragrances, as do Ajmal or Arabian Oud.

Also an application technique that is inclusive of above.
    Depends what ya like ?

If you like Aramis , how about Givenchy Gentleman(1974) - a rip roaring riot of patchouli and other long performing goodies.
    Kouros perhaps?

Big performers for me : all last a good day + more on clothing
Lalique Pour Homme - citrus lavender cedar vanilla
Lalique White - lemony peppery cedary with piquant tamarind
Polo Green - heavy hitter greens with leather and tobacco
Pour Lui ODLR - an orchestra floral, woods, spices leather
Paco Rabanne PH - dry green
Currently wearing: Bright Neroli by Ferrari
