Default Riviera Vacation - what do you take?

You're taking a 10 day Mexican Riviera cruise what would you take?

Ambiance is going to range between suit and tie to jeans and t shirt, shorts and linen. Air-conditioned interior to very hot tropical outdoors adventure, beach and forest. Packed bus rides and open air boating.

    List them

A vetiver (Guerlain vetiver was apparently developed for the Mexican market). Many possibilities depending on price etc. CDG vetiveru is not too expensive and very fresh.

Bois 1920 Oltremare (incidentally my SOTD)
    Neroli Portofino Forte
Tom Bahama Set Sail St. Barts (to spray on liberally whenever)
    Kenzo Homme Night
    Aqcua di Gio Profumo
Maybe one of the Creeds: Erolfa, Virgin Island Water, Milisieme Imperiale (not Aventus)

Definitely nothing super expensive or challenging. The Mexican Riviera is hot as hell so whatever I would wear probably wouldn't survive that long anyway. But a few nice fragrances to wear to dinner or the club and something easy and breezy for daytime wear would be great.

Well, I'm on the French Riviera now and I'm with Gengis Khan. If I were on the Mexican one I'd be taking the same thing.

I've been looking at this one online, the original, not the intense. I see it with two different packaging, one a dark green box and the sprayer is different from the grey box. Are they both genuine?

Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Barts would be an obvious choice.

But, really, you can't beat the classics. I'd go with Aramis Havana and Dior Eau Sauvage EDT.

Decants of Aventus & Acqua Di Parma Essenza would be all I would take. Maybe some TF Neroli Portofino too for good measure.

From a suit & tie, to chilling on the beach in a speedo- They’d work in any warm weather vacation situation/scenario I can think of.

Re vettiveru, I think that at some point it was repackaged, but not sure about the details. I would not worry about things being genuine, this is not something that gets faked.

Ordered Guerlain Vetiver, Amazon has it on the cheap so why not! Found Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Barts (btw, I'm from that part of the world) for $19.99 at The Rack, I have Aventus and ADP Cedro di Taormina already. Aqua Amara?

Some forums have appreciation "like" icons, this ones doesn't so I'll just have to say thanks for the suggestions!

Re Acqua Amara: I don't like marine. But if you do like the stye, that's an interesting one, because it has a nice bitter citrus over the marine base.

Guerlain Vetiver and SSSB are two of my warm weather go-to scents. Excellent choices! Also, as was said before, if you see Tommy Bahama St. Kitts at your local Marshalls/TJ Maxx (they always seem to have it), pick it up. If you dig SSSB, you'll most likely dig St. Kitts.

Just back from picking up 2x more SSSB at the Rack. They had Martinique but no St. Kitts. I'll keep my eyes open for next time

I like St Kitts much better than SSSB. It seems more complex and able to work in spring and fall in addition to summer.

I picked up two bottles lately and I agree, I like it better than the SSSB also!

So here's what I have in my collection now that I'm considering. I'm thinking I'll pack 4 frags from my list unless I pick up others in the meantime.
(inside day, outside day casual, formal night and sensual night)

    Artisan Pure
    Cedro Di Taormina
    Aqua Amara
    Eau Savauge
    CDNI
    Light blue sun
    L'Homme ideal cologne
    Rush of Unicorns (Millesime Imp)
    Saint Barts/Saint Kitts
    Versace pour Homme
    Grey Vetiver Guerlain Vetiver
    Invictus Aqua
    TF Noir extreme?
    Sunset in Heaven ?
    Layton?

You can see my wardrobe and suggest if there are other appropriate scents to include. Day time casual i seem to have more than covered. Evening formal I think the ADP Cedro or TF Grey Vetiver would be nice but I'm not sure about something for more romantic/clubbing.

While replying rather belated, would still most likely choose Mugler Cologne for this particular occasion.

    Sounds fun!

Virgin Island Water (for while I'm on the boat during leisure hours)

Jardin Exclusif, with a light application when more dressed up during late afternoon, early evenings

Afternoon Swim as a VIW alternative

Cologne Sologne as daily wear when moving through a variety of situations and indoor/outdoor, Afternoon Swim can also work well here

Mancera Black Gold for late night formal evening wear
