Default Show Your Vintage Fragrance Sets

Have you ever purchased a set to get to the EDT or cologne because it was a deal and you just could not pass on it? I know I'm not the only one that has done this. Tell us about the vintage sets you have purchased. A "set" could include the EDT or cologne of course, paired with aftershave splash or balm, shower gel, bar soap, or even some other accessory. Maybe your set included a bag, a watch, or anything other than just the fragrance.

Please post photos if you have them. I know there are some nice sets out there! I have a few myself.

I did a little research and I did not see a thread of this sort. Please let me know if one already exists.

**I'm not sure of the date on the Dior Fahrenheit. Yes...I rubbed the print off the bottle...geeeez!

Beautiful sets! I do occasionally buy those too-I like to use perfumed shower gel. I'll see what I have still (most I would have used).

Sometimes when a set is really handsome, like the gorgeous Coriolan set above <drool>, I have a hard time actually using them -- I just want to keep the tableau intact.

Here's a vintage 1980s Safari for Women set that I did manage to use some of the shower gel:

    SafariGiftSet.JPG

And a Hermes Caleche 1990s Asian market set that I can't bring myself to use:

    CalecheSoapsGiftSet.JPG

And I can't find my 1960s set of Moustache de Rochas -- cologne, aftershave, and lotion. It's here in the clutter somewhere!

I hope Cacio posts some photos... I know he's a real bath products junkie.

Even though I own two vintage bottles of Z-14, I've always been a little sorry I didn't buy one of these sets that came with a clock. It would just be kitschy fun to have a clock that says 'Halston Z-14' on it.

I've had Coriolan, Cabaret, WIngs, Grey Flannel, Stetson, and a ton of Avon vintage sets but I never keep them in their set packaging due to space limitations, integrating the bottles into my collection and the aftershaves into my "aftershave shelf" on top my main cabinet or in the Avon area.

I used to buy sets earlier, but unless the option is not available to buy only the fragrance, do i go for buying a set, preferably with a shower gel or an after shave gel. Frankly though, my sets are all dispersed all over the place that I'll need a day or 2 off from work to put them together!!!

Wonderful collection for sure, that you have!

Currently, off the back of my head, i have Costume National Homme shower gel and fragrance, Eau de Patou shower gel and fragrance, Gucci Nobile multiple bottles of fragrance, but only 1 after shave gel (in perfect condition though), Bel ami soap and EDT, in cocktail shaker type case, Acqua di Parma Essenza and Assoluta - both with fragrance, shower gel and after shave gel, Grey Vetiver fragrance and after shave gel, Lush Dirty - perfume, body spray and shower gel, one MFK fragrance with a body lotion (don't remember which one)...Planning to buy a few larger sized shower gels, particularly Egoiste, Eau de Rochas Pourr Homme, Capuscci Pour Homme and Eau Sauvage edt shower gel.

I still have a toiletries pouch from Fahrenheit in use...Here's the pic.

Those sets are very classy. I usually never seek out to buy sets. For instance, the Coriolan set was cheaper than just the bottle. All of my sets were cheaper than a single bottle....yes even the Gucci Nobile.

The Tabu is the only set I still have (too old to use, and cute)
    http://www.cagetti.com/Pictures/tabu_set.jpg
I also have a Coty/stetson 1980s reissue set, but just of perfumes.
    http://www.cagetti.com/Pictures/coty_1980s.jpg

And just because, here are the bath products I have in the drawer right now (I don't collect those, they will get used):
    http://www.cagetti.com/Pictures/bath_1905.jpg
(the amouages are interlude and myths man, already used, I keep the sturdy container as a box, and Fate woman). the last one is the one currently in my shower, Miyako. (the Knize ten is unused because it's kind of a let down, doesn't smell of much, i should toss it).

Do any of you know when Chanel stopped selling soap bars for Egoiste? I saw a few on sale on eBay.

Lovely! I have not seen the bars myself, so they must have stopped some time ago. I did buy the shower gel when it was available, but that has sadly been discontinued a couple of years ago-mine is a leftover from then. i should have stocked up. Sadly, now they only have bath products for the usual stuff like Blue, allure, and platinum eg.

The Avon area?? That must be an entire room in your house LOL! I don't remember how Avon sets look. My grandfather loved Avon! He wore everything Avon until he passed on in 1995 at 78 yrs old. I'm sure he had a few sets.

The ďSAVONĒ is above Chanel, so your good on formula.

I think I only have 1 Cabaret set at the moment. Oh, also a Lavin mini set and an Imperial Del Oro set. I likely have another set or so of something but I ended up swapping or gifting away most sets I had.

Any chance thatís a tallow based soap? Iíve got an old Aramis soap that I sometimes use for shaving and it lathers up as good as any shave soap Iíve used before. If those Egoiste soaps werenít so rare, it could make for an incredible shave experience.
