Default Visiting perfume capitals of France!

Hey Everyone, ,my family and I are about to take a 2 week trip to France..and a little Italy. At some point we will be in Provence and The Riviera...St Tropez and Villefranche while taking day trips. My wife laughed and said "you know there are perfume shops where you can make your own stuff everywhere?" I know Grasse is the capital of perfumery in the South of France and has Fragonard Perfumery and Galimard Perfumery. I also read there was a little great place in Eze..Perfumerie Fragonard-L'Usine. L'Occitane en Provence will be close too. I'm sure I'll be able to only get to one area. Has anyone here been to one of these and have any experience with them? I'll also be back in Stresa of Lake Maggiore in Italy where I got a great bottle last time. Any advice in the region for shopping would be great.

Have been to both of those places many times. Just came back from the French Riviera last week. Grasse has Molinard, Fragonard and Galimard factories/museums and many small shops in the city worth exploring. Also if you're going to Cannes, Antibes and Nice, there are many great shops including Tanagra in Nice. In Eze on the way to Monaco there is Fragonard and a few other nice small shops. Have a wonderful trip!

Thanks so much Hednic! Really looking forward to it. Kids had a great time in Italy last year so hoping they enjoy this. Great info. I think my best bets will be to shop in Nice and Antibes since I know we are day tripping there and to try and hit Eze also. Grasse would be great but not a perfect location for our two bases in the French Riviera. We will be 4 days around Provence too with our home base between St. Remy and Avignon. So will try and look around there too! Thanks again!

If you're into lavendar, Musée de la Lavande in Avignon is fun, and has difference essences for sale. Have a great trip!
