    Default Lanvin perfume collection 60s

Hi all, I have a large collection of NOS perfume, 60s from Lanvin, Eau de Lanvin, Eau my sin, pretexte and so on.
In total 115 bottles, 21 one are 8 oz in size.
All off them are stored for 50 years in darkness and stayed cool.
Try to find a collector for all off them in one.
I have some photos to see https://www.flickr.com/photos/mouthaan
    A list is available.
    Any advice?
    yours Hans Mouthaan.

How incredibly wonderful! How many of them are masculine offerings from Lanvin?

Hi Hednic, I don't understand the question, masculine offerings?

Are there any men's Lanvin scents as part of the collection, or are all of them for women? Sorry if I was unclear.

    Hi-

What an amazing collection of Lanvin perfumes! I'm a vintage perfume collector, but I buy for my own use and enjoyment, not for profit, and this is far too much perfume for me to even consider buying for myself.

If you are determined to sell this collection as a whole, you might approach one of the decant companies that sell vintage samples (Surrender to Chance, The Perfumed Court) or one of the vendors of vintage perfumes on Ebay who maintain a large stock of bottles. Perhaps someone will approach you after seeing this post?

I feel that you would realize much more by selling these bottles individually or in smaller units, although that does involve the effort of doing so, including posting, packaging, mailing etc. It is not that hard to set up as an Ebay seller, accepting payment via Paypal or you could offer your bottles for sale here or in other perfume sites. I would love to purchase a few of your bottles!

Note to Hednic--I would say that Scandal and Rumeur might be the most "unisex" of the vintage Lanvin perfumes, but I think a man (by which I mean someone presenting as a traditionally masculine person, since this is all rather complicated) could wear any of them. But perhaps not Arpege...

WOW! They look to be in pristine condition. I’d LOVE to get some vintage Rumeur.

I could be wrong here but a collector is unlikely looking to acquire multiple bottles of any particular fragrance. I’d certainly consider selling to vintage decant sites as grayspoole suggested.

Hi, yes indeed, selling this lot is only for traders interesting.
For the time being I wait for the "one buyer".

Wonderful collection! I second what Grayspoole and others have mentioned: there will be limited buyers for the collection intact, and many who would be interested in purchasing individual bottles, or bundles. Even a serious collector might not be interested in multiple bottles of the same vintage and type. A decant site or specialist seller of vintages might be your best bet, though you’ll have shipping, insurance and import to deal with to sell this as a complete lot and it can be complex at this volume and value.

A complete set of the best examples might be interesting to a museum, though I’m not sure what they’d be able to offer in terms of recompense.

If you reconsider selling individual bottles or smaller lots, Basenotes is a great place to start! I’d love to get my hands on some Rumeur and Scandal (and can always be tempted to augment my bottles of My Sin), but the whole collection is far beyond my means!

Not sure if it’s something to consider, but perhaps a post in the vintage or sales forum could net you enough individual buyers to make breaking up the collection worthwhile? I understand that it may not be worth it for a couple of individual bottles, but if you were able to move most or all of them, is that something you might be interested to do? Just a thought.

Thanks Lellabelle, just the notes I need to make a decision, I have accounts on Etsy and Ebay so I can selling them individual, I think for small collectors the best option.
Not sure if basenotes is the place to sell, is it?
The only disadvantage is that it can takes years to sell the lot.

You have to meet certain requirements to be able to post something for sale in the Marketplace forum, and since you're a new member I don't think that will work, alas.

That’s true. Would a Plus account solve that?

If the info needed to make a decision about splitting the collection to sell is predicated on the level of interest, could a poll or discussion in a relevant forum help with this? Not sure if that contravenes any Basenotes rules about promotion or advertising, though.

My heart is breaking that I have no space or use for these! I respect the fragrances too much to hoard them (and couldn't afford them, even if I did), so I hope you find a place for them that will give them the respect and setting they deserve. Lanvin is not the company it used to be, but they might be interested in acquiring this cross-section of their history (lanvin.com).

Just have to say that is a really STUNNING collection!

You should have no problem selling these individually on Ebay. There are also two sellers of vintage perfumes who might be interested in the whole lot: sugardrop on Ebay and ParfumsDeParis on Etsy (although the latter is on vacation until June 24th).

That is an excellent suggestion. I know those sellers and they have superb inventories of vintage perfumes. Starletfume on Etsy is another seller who might be interested.

Hans: are you gonna sell them seperate or not? I life not too far from your city, so if you gonna sell them one by one, its no big thing to meet up to purchase a bottle or two (dpending on the price off course) . Also i know a certain retailler who does vintage, but mostly 70-80-90's, but you never know.
