Default Cedrat Boise - Your take on performance

Hows everyone getting on with the performance on this one? Batch code starts with a 19 so assuming 2019 bottle.

I was told its a beastly performer and to go easy on the trigger in an office setting. Im aware you can become nose blind to stronger scents so always lean with caution.

However on my now 4th-5th wearing. I put 2 sprays to the wrist this morning and afer the 2 hour mark of moderate projection it starts to sit close to the skin. Getting on 6hours now and I can only smell it from 1-2 inches away.

How's everyone finding it? How many sprays are you going?

I had the first version and now the second one and the first was a monster indeed.
Newest version as of a few years ago is still very good performing and has a loud opening but settles after 1 hr and has on me like 8 hrs longevity (average longevity for 2 hrs and close for the next hrs) which is very good for a fresh fragrance.
I go like 5-6 sprays incl. wrists.
    My Top '11' :

    - Dolce & Gabbana: Pour Homme (vtg)
    - Paco Rabanne: Pour Homme (vtg)
    - Azzaro: Pour Homme (vtg)
    - Tom Ford: Ombré Leather
    - Guerlain: Héritage (vtg)
    - Mancera: Red Tobacco
    - YSL: Kouros (Fraîcheur)
    - Armani: Acqua di Gio Profumo
    - MPG: Santal Noble
    - Hermes: Terre d'Hermes
    - Amouage: Interlude

It performs very well, especially for a warm weather fragrance. The initial fruity blast soon settles down but the woody dry down certainly sticks around for a few hours.

Excellent performance. Two, three sprays max and you’re good to go for the day.

4 to 5 hours of above average/strong projection (3 to 5 feet) and accompanying sillage, followed by several more hours of restrained but present projection (about a foot, no further).

Easy for others to smell and detect while wearing. Generates compliments.

Apparently it's pretty good (or really good). I might lose it pretty much to my nose after a while.

But when I still owned the latest bottle I had, I think I may have worn it to work, came home after the entire work day and then she commented on it while she was on the couch and I was just standing in the living room area across the coffee table from her.

So if she noticed it from over an arm's length away after... ~9 - 11.5 hours, that's pretty good?

Ask someone else if they can smell aventus on you. I go nose blind with Aventus in 30 minutes, but it lasts for up to 10 hours.

yes, i have heard that a lot. that's why i did get rid of it plus few other colognes that act the same way.
what is the point of having cologne if you cannot smelled it....................

It lasts awhile on me, but because I love that fruity pebbles opening, I find myself re-spraying every couple of hours so I can't honestly say how long a single application lasts.
It projects like a mofo though, people WILL smell you if they are in the same room

A new bottle will seem weak. This one is like Creed and needs a bit of oxygen in the bottle after a few wears to open up. Once it does, all-day performance.

It’s my all time favourite and signature scent, there’s no difference between current batches and older ones whether relating to scent or longevity. That’s one of the main reasons I love it, whenever I pick up a bottle I know exactly what I’m going to get.
On skin I get at least 6 hours, I’ve usually showered again by the 6 hour mark of applying so I wouldn’t know much about after but on clothing it’s over a few days

Oh yes there is...….had a 120ml 2012 bottle (second hand, 40ml filled) which was almost like an extrait; the ones I got after that, a 120ml 2016 (already empty now) and 2017 bottle are like half of that strength.
Did a lot of side by sides with those versions and the difference was remarkable to say the least and indeed current is still strong even!

Mine survived even after showering, but it was a soft skin scent afterwards. Still impressive!

I’ve gone through about 50 bottles as I decant and sell a lot of used ones as well as wearing it at least twice a week. In all these years none have been different in any way

How is that outrageously cheap, isn’t that close to the usual price it can be found at?

Outrageously cheap was when I got 5 120mL bottles of it for £10 a bottle from Notino. They must have made a pricing error, but it’s my wife’s fave, so I had to stock up despite feeling a bit guilty about it.

Don't have my bottle with me, but I bought my bottle last year. I usually spray 3 times and can get wafts of it 8 hours on as I move around. I will be wearing it more once summer actually starts and will pay more attention.
