    Default Montale Recommendation

I own and love Dark Aoud.

    I have also tried:

    Greyland (Liked it)
    Musk to Musk(Kinda liked it)
    Black Musk(Not for me)
    Aoud Musk( Not for me)

Based on my taste, which should i blind buy from the following?

    Full Incense
    Original Aouds
    Aoud Lime
    Aoud leather
    Black aoud

Aoud Lime from your list, but based on what you like above, I'd say Aromatic Lime.

Just thought of another, since you're considering Black Aoud as a possibility, perhaps consider Black Aoud Intense as a better alternative instead of Black Aoud.

I have heard stories about the nuclear power of Black Aoud,Black Aoud Intense would be too much maybe?
Also i am not too crazy about rose as a note...

Dark Aoud has this exeptional "new leather shoes with sandalwood and medicinal oud " that i really like,i wonder what else from the above would have a similar feel from a different angle...
All these are found in great price,so i would like to get the most satisfing for my taste..

if you're not crazy about rose, I'd stay away from both Black Aoud and Black Aoud Intense. Original Aouds is oud and nothing else - very linear, so that probably won't be to your liking either. Aoud Leather might be your best bet if you're looking for that leather oud combo.

If you like leather, Aoud leather certainly is leathery. It is however sharper than Dark aoud. Aoud Cuir d'Arabie is also leather and oud, but musky and less sharp. I like Aoud lime too, though it doesn't have leather.

I am curious, in your opinion what are the differences in the two? What makes the Intense better; just longevity?

    Another good option.

Well guys,i choose to get Aoud Lime, based on i'ts popularity and the recommendation for dear Mr.Hednic.
    My opinion:
Stay away if you are not into roses
Stay away if you are looking for a masculine oud.
This one is overpowered by a sweet rose heavy note
On the backround, theres a typical oud-woody structure, but rose is the main player here.
Kind of dissaponted,i was expecting something with less rose and more oud
    And definitely more masculine.

Sorry to hear it wasn't to your liking. Perhaps Aoud Leather would have been a better choice.

Well no worries, blind buy is always a risk..!!
The thing is i was expecting something really masculine and unique, and instead i got a rose dominant perfume..
I will sell it and will get Original Aoud or Full insense or Leather Aoud.
Safron Aoud is also an option.
I am looking for a masculine oud not extemely dry as Killian pure oud.

You won't have to deal with rose with any of those others.

I don't necessary abolish the idea of roses as note, but in Aoud Lime is the main player and i am surprised that nobody mention
    that...
For example, when i first wore Musk to Musk i quite enjoyed ,but when i wore it again after few years later the rose had been amped up( reformulation maybe?)

Sorry to hear you don't like it. That said, sometimes things come around, perhaps in a year you'll feel like trying something new. So you should just keep it aside. Or give it as a gift to somebody who likes it.

You make me want to dig out my bottle and try it again-but I can't really see myself wearing an oud in today's sticky DC weather.
