From the current wardrobe, probably Blenheim Bouquet, La Martina Hombre, Royal Mayfair, Caron pour un Homme or Floris Elite.

From the "tested" section of the wardrobe, vintage RL Polo Green, any Hugh Parsons fragrance, Knize Forest, to name only a few.

In Australia, Vettiveru as it tends to get pretty hot.

My instincts are to go for something green and grassy.
    1. No, never blind buy (I do, but do as I say, not as I do. I'm taking no responsibility for your fragrance gambling).
    2. Get them both. You're a Basenoter and you know you're going to end up purchasing them both eventually.
    3. Yes, it has been reformulated.
    4. Looking for a signature scent? You've come to the wrong place.

    NZ vs SA?

I want SA to win, so that the tournament is more open.

What I'd wear would depend on the weather, but from my wardrobe either Castile (Penhaligon's) or Wellington (Trumper) would be a good match.

Ideally I'd want to wear something at the intersection of cricket and Wodehouse. Maybe vintage Blenheim Bouquet or No 88? Even Ormonde Jayne?

L’Humaniste, Lemon Line, Jardin d’Amalfi, Dior Homme Cologne, Masculin 2, Figeur Eden, Vetiver Babylone, Silver Mountain Water, Nio, Extract of Sicilian and West Indian Limes, Arancia di Capri, Bergamatto Marino, Bergamote 22, Masculin Pluriel, Chanel Eau de Cologne, Mosaic, Aventus Cologne, Kouros d’Ete 2002, Kouros Tattoo, Sunday Cologne, vtg Curve, Imperfect, Paradigm, vtg Azuree, St. Kitts, L’Eau Boisee, Beach Hut, Aventus, Madarino di Amalfi, Millesime Imperial, Vetiver, Smalto Pour Homme, Kiton, vtg Herrera, Alviero Martini Uomo, Polo, Tropheé, Capucci PH, and Eau de Patou (cone shaped bottle) are just a few off the top of my head that could work. Depends on weather and temperature for me, cause maybe something heavier could be in order. If I were not traveling at the moment and looking at my collection I could possibly give better ideas. Good luck!

Caron Sport would be my suggestion but there are loads of good ones here.

Something classy, versatile, long lasting (without cloying, I think that's more important than the actual performance, and obviously fresh/green/classy enough that it fits in well. Unless you're the barmy army kind of fan, in which case wear what you want, I think the lavendar with the minty quality (even if there's apparently no mint) works well. Fresh, but different.

My thoughts exactly. Terribly humid weather in the UK lately and the rain and storms are just getting really annoying now. Hard to match this to clothes and fragrance IMHO.

Green scents would work I suppose: GIT, Patrick, Original Vetiver

This! Encre Noire if it's raining or the Extreme flanker if not.

I lived in Headingley when I was a student and wasted a few afternoons down at the cricket getting genteelly stocious on bitter. I would have been wearing Polo or Xeryus Rouge mainly in those days.

I'll be at the third day of the Ashes test in August so I'm watching this thread with interest.

In the hope of weather resembling a summers' day, I'd suggest something fresh and long lasting like Cedrat Boise.

    Not a bad idea either.

I actually think vetiver scents (especially the fresher ones) go quite well in hot and humid (and rainy) weather.

If it's SA vs NZ playing in Edgbaston - I live just around the corner. The traffic drives me mad! Love cricket otherwise though

I'd probably wear something green and fresh. From your wardrobe, Guerlain Vetiver or TF's Grey Vetiver. Personally, I'd wear Vetiver Insolent.
