ineespenes - that sounds super uncomfortable sweetie, I hope it goes away fast

rynegne - I see you have been on quite the lavender journey as of late. Good for you. It's one of my fav notes in perfumery. CPUH is a wardrobe favorite. I'm interested to hear what you think of it.

Today I wore a lot of this (from a sample - that once I run out of I have a decant now):

Diorella vintage Eau de Toilette by Christian Dior

Today's wearing reminded me a lot of the 'other' peach chypre in my wardrobe, Chant de Aromes (or Mitsouko for that matter). But the Dior is so zany and fun. And it lasted forever. Good stuff. They just don't make em like this anymore.

Most of my daylilies are tetraploids. They have a heavy, waxy substance that allows those ruffled borders. I do have some outstanding diploids and they are easier garden plants as their blossoms give up and are dry like tissue paper. A tet blossom melts overnight to a snotty mess and generally needs to be removed by hand so as to not gum up another bud. This is no problem for me as I also don't want the plant to give energy to random seed pods so I deadhead in the mornings. L'Heure Bleue takes on a whole new meaning, as they are freshest and most vibrant in the early morning before the sun comes over the horizon.

I've done beds of seedlings and it becomes obsessive. They sprout and grow, then blossom in year two. (Can you imagine? ME? Obsessive???) "NO! I cannot leave home! I might miss a blossom that the world has never seen before!"

Heh. Kai for me, today. So far, so good on today. No comedy writing itself although I admit I have about four more hours until midnight.

Diorella is wonderful. It reminds me of Sous Le Vent.

That's very unfortunate. Hopefully you'll get well and recover soon.

Husband has rosacea. It isn’t particularly itchy. Sounds like either an allergic reaction or something fungal. You smell great!
My only regrets in life are the people I haven't stood up for,
and the perfumes I've thrown away.
