    Morning all!

Since l've been having a bit of a clear-out this week, it seemed appropriate to try my sample of I Am Trash today - a freebie sent with a Luckyscent order - although l'm one day too late to twin with ExtremeK. This smells almost exactly like Black XS pour Homme, & whisks me back to around 2006 & an ex of mine who used to wear it. Ah, nostalgia!

Teardrop, your post made me think of a Frenchman I used to know in the early 70's, who wore Tabac
very well. Does anyone remember or wear that one?

I am wearing Terre de Lumiere again.

    Lol @ teardrop's "themed" sampling!

I want to buy ALL of Shycat's daylily varieties! You've made outstanding choices, such an array of beautiful forms and colors. Got some more? Mine are not blooming yet, just putting on buds, but I see a 'Bama Bound' bud that looks ready to pop any day now!

Quarry, your achievements never fail to astound me! You made a challenging area look truly beautiful! As a diehard hater of invasive weeds, I immediately got the purpose of a rubber barrier. Makes me wish for time travel, so I can go back and just throttle those responsible for spreading them here (my own ancestors included, if guilty!). Granted, not all my plants are native -but I do not plant anything that can't be kept in check or easily removed.

Shalimar Initial L'Eau today, because I wore it to bed and woke up with it going strong. No thinking required, just a top up! Happy Hump Day!

Frapin 1270 for today. It's hot, we are waiting for the rain.

Got a de-humidifier for the garage, to keep the items stored in there from mildew, and I can say with confidence that the "feels like" heat index is nonsense. It's 95 and very humid outside, "heat index" of 104, in the garage it's bone dry now and 103 and wow that feels SO MUCH HOTTER. 95 and humid just feels like 95. I am never moving to the desert. Ever.

Ick. Dry or humid, 95°F (35°C) is just ick. Our poor Jon Rodgers has temps nearly that high in Nice. Hope a sea breeze gives him relief.

The heat is starting to build here, too, alternating with downpours. Tomorrow we're supposed to get another 2 inches of rain. Still, we're better off than parts of drought-stricken India. We want to hold off using the a/c because mourning doves have a nest on the unit.

Discontinued Misia edt feels just right. Light, but more interesting than a simple cologne or soliflore.

Recent blind buy from a lavender thread suggestion. I was a little disappointed in that I don't personally get a ton of lavender in this. For me, it smells a lot like Vintage Antaeus Aftershave with a little bit of added smokey leather...so the disappointment faded fast as I'm a big fan of Antaeus and this wears a lot lighter.

The clouds have lifted here & we've got a nice fresh breeze blowing off the sea, giving us some relief from the humidity. You're right though Q, looks like poor Jon might be right in the centre of the inferno that will be western Europe for the next couple of days.

Post-shower, l'm wearing Jasmin T for this evening.

30C with a ton of humidity, waiting for thunderstorms. Like Robin, I have a dehumidifier as well and when it runs, it feels a lot warmer in the room, so I agree with the humidex being bunk.

Got the AC running and sitting in a luxurious dose of Cuir Cannage.

Hi, all -- still a firm believer in the heat index here. 2 days ago, it was 78, partly cloudy and low 58% relative humidity. Yesterday, it was 76, mostly cloudy, and 72% relative humidity. Guess which felt hotter and oh-so-much worse? (The second one.) That's not to say that a dry heat of 103 isn't still hot -- it is! And definitely hotter than I'd like.

This morning I wore PdE Equistrius on the right wrist and PdE Le Cri de la Lumiere on the left wrist for a comparison. Both are gorgeous and very different. If I were going to buy just one of them, though, I'd go with Equistrius because I don't have anything else like it. And, at the moment, I have other roses that I prefer to Le Cri.

If you had asked me before I tried them side-by-side, I would have bet on Le Cri. Always good to actually try them.

I'm heading to my yin yoga practice now and then out for a long-overdue, much-needed dinner with one of my girlfriends. And now I'm wearing Profumum Roma Acqua di Sale.

    Have a great evening, everyone!
