I don't know why I forget about Tuberose Gardenia, it's so good. Wearing it today.

You smell great today Jon, a little bit of American spirit as well. Is it 40 Rogue? That juice is wonderful.

On to something American for evening; DKNY Sweet Delicious Pink Macaroon. Where I live (outside city limits) we're allowed fireworks year round and many of the surrounding households go big for the fourth. My annual tradition is sitting on the stoop with cocktails, watching other people's displays and not spending my money.

What are some of your favorite cocktails? I've been doing a lot of experimenting with cocktail making over the past year, love them. Sounds like a great setup for celebrating with family and friends.

It is nice! There tends to be a view in all directions, so it really is the ideal gathering spot! My favorite, go-to cocktail is good old Cuba Libre, preferably with spiced rum and freshly muddled lime so as to get the flavor of the rind as well as the juice. Otherwise known as a rum & coke (although, if you order just "rum & coke" in a bar, who knows what you'll actually get). Could not be easier and hits the spot in summer. I also love most any drink with lime and most anything with Kahlua. And I had a "Strawberry Shortcake" cocktail at a restaurant recently; been meaning to track down a recipe for that. Mr. PL, on the other hand, is a vodka guy and also loves interesting beers.

What beautiful sentiments, purecaramel. And you smell fantastic!

I sweated my ass (and everything else) off this morning. More fencing got installed, but don't know if I'll finish the rest now that summer is heating up.

Chillin' with Guerlain Coquin: Black pepper; rose, smoky tea; rum, dark chocolate, vanilla.

Some of my favorites are the White Russian, I love coffee cocktails. White chocolate and dark chocolate martinis are great, yes I do have a sweet tooth which goes hand in hand with my appreciation for gourmand fragrances. Irish Creams and coffee liquors are my go to when I visit Total Wines or Bevmo. Brandy Alexanders is another one that I enjoy a lot. For summer I enjoy the different variations of a margarita. I enjoy daiquiris as well. Some the classics are great as well, I do enjoy my Old Fashioned, Manhattans, Sours, and Martinis.

Oh yes N.Cal, my sweet tooth is not messin' around! I may be picky about perfumes which read too sticky sweet for my nose but that is far from the case regarding food & drink. No such thing as too sweet or too rich! I LOVE White Russians! Yes to coffee cocktails. When I was younger (and got out more), my friends and I often topped off a night out with Irish Coffee. I like daquiris and margaritas, too. You're my kind of drinking buddy!

PerfumedLady I'm sure you would enjoy the cocktail we became very fond of in France. We are both off work tomorrow and will be attempting to re-create it. Wine o'clock will follow later, of course

Yessir, I know I'd love Planter's Punch, JR! I love all of those ingredients. Looks perfect for summer! I'm afraid my stoop won't compare to your pic either but I'm going to need try it out, anyway. Looks pretty easy to make; can't wait to hear how it goes for you!

Catching up on 3 days'-worth of posts, I'm sitting here all teary-eyed and sending massive hugs to (((PerfumedLady))). I'm so sorry. Will you be planting a special lily in her honor?

We're going to hang out this evening with some friends who live just up the walking trail from us (they own the craft beer and wine bar we frequent). Food, booze, and fireworks up the wazoo. What could go wrong? I'm contributing some homemade Boston baked beans to the effort, and David is bringing 2 different sangrias and a Mexican summer beer thing-y he made. The Mexican summer beer is dangerous: 1 bottle of Mezcal, 6 Pacifcos (or other Mexican beer), frozen limeade concentrate, and Squirt. I'll be lucky if he doesn't have to carry me home.

I'm note-twinned with foxbins in Carnal Flower although Iwasthisclose to grabbing Tuberose Gardenia!

    Hugs to you al!

ETA: Trilby Lark, Omaha is on I-80 on the way to Chicago (about an 8-hour drive). We have a bedroom for you. And you smell fantastic! David sends 2 big thumbs-up!
