So gorgeous. The opening titles sequence on HBO's "Big Little Lies". I miss that landscape.

What a perfect way to break in a new sports car.

Visiting the chiropractor today. I think I'll treat him to some Bottega Veneta EDP.

Oh, PerfumedLady, that is too sweet of you! Every mountain is a Larimar one?

Quarry, , no hurry for now. There is a full work week ahead, but hey, TGIF celebrations first.

Your drive sounds glorious, Trilby Lark. Drink it all in, sweetie!

I'm in synch today with a sample of Grandiflora Boronia. Based on the notes list (boronia, green notes, apricot, woods, resins, cognac, floral notes, black tea, tobacco, suede, caramel), you'd be excused for thinking this is a sweet, heavy gourmand, but it's not at all. It's a bit of lightly stewed spices (in the style of Uncle Serge), but it's a surprisingly dry take on tobacco and hay. Think Chergui, minus 3/4 of the sweetness, and replace the sweetness with dry woodiness, and (very roughly speaking) you've got the feel of Boronia. It's definitely wearable in the summer in all but the hottest/most humid conditions, but it would really shine in the late summer/early autumn -- say, September in the Pacific Northwest

I'm going to give it as many full wearings as my sample will allow, but I could see this going on my wishlist.

Cheers to teardrop, kewart, Jon, Larimar, and our other friends across the pond who are already raising various and sundry glasses to TGIF!

Hold the phone, I found a sample to sync with: Amouage XXV. It's not me, even if I were a man, but I can appreciate the quality of the ingredients and being hip-bumped right out of my usual comfort zone.

Perfumed Lady... continuing with more comforting hugs (((((=^..^=))))). Oh! I can view fireworks from my bed, too, when they have them going off over at Bucknell's University's stadium! How coincidental!

I'm just not feeling the love with today's synch. I'm on to wearing Hansa Yellow by DSH. Also, I'm finishing off a bottle of Pinot Noir. I'm not feeling the love here either, for this particular type of red.

    Happy Friday my fragrant friends!
Doing the sync in a Duchafour (relative) cheapie.

S T Dupont Signature Pour Femme

Listed notes: aldehydes, tulip, nutmeg, violet, peach, bergamot and tangerine; middle notes are magnolia, iris, orchid, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley and rose; base notes are sandalwood, amber, musk, vanilla, vetiver, cedar and brazilian rosewood.

I don't get aldehydes. Magnolia, nutmeg, iris, light peach, ambery notes prevail on me. Charming & Cozy without being heavy.

ExtremeK, bring the Boronia when you come to visit! When I was making soap, one of my favorite scents was the boronia fragrance oil I put in. The guest room awaits your arrival!

Back home after my annual physical and the last time I have to see this physician (barring some kind of unforeseen health issue). She kept me waiting 45 minutes and the office phlebotomist stuck me three times before she got a vein. Having a Frappucchino as a consolation. Put on some Gypsy Water from a sample Twisted Lily sent me.

ExtremeK and foxbins, you should also try the new Goldfield & Banks Velvet Splendour and Southern Bloom if you like Boronia. Available at Luckyscent.

Foxbins, you don’t know how tempted I am to just hop a flight to see you, hang out, hike, drink all the wine, etc. I’ll bring whatever the hell you want me, too.

I switched to MAAI tonight. Like a tractor beam pull to this one.
