Default Bois de Mysore by Mizensir

I heard about this scent today, even though it's been out for several years now (2016).

The Mizensir line is Alberto Morillas' company (previously they did candles, now they have a full blown line of fragrances) and they have about twenty five fragrances that I found listed on the Premier Avenue website.

Bois de Mysore was mentioned on another BN thread, but I thought it deserved its own thread.

Anyone own/smell this one? It's not easy to get outside of Premier Avenue and Selfridges and it's not cheap ($194 / 100 ml @ Selfridges...$213 @ P.A.)

I was able to purchase a sample of this online and I'm wearing it today for the 1st time.

I would describe it definitely as fusing together very 'natural' smelling accords with very powerful synthetic accords. I feel both are present in this scent: the citrus top notes are very fresh and uplifting and then there's floral and green and white-smoke / woody elements all swirling together.

I don't think the perfumer actually used Mysore sandalwood in this scent - it's more so he used some other sandalwood to 'recreate' the smell of Mysore.

I look forward to posting more impressions with future wearings. I have a friend in France, who might be able to obtain a bottle for me - let's see how subsequent wearings go.

I have tried this and thought it was quite nice.

I like how diffusive it is. It's there...then it's gone...oh there it is. I happen to enjoy that facet of sandalwood.

I thoroughly enjoyed this sample I bought of this scent.

I do not think they're sold in any US stores at this time.

Which is fine, for now I am content in my parfum concentration of Santal du Pacifique by Perris Monte Carlo.
