Default Pinaud Clubman vs. Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve

Following the barbershop discussion and personally on a bit of a clean/classic/masculine vibe at the moment - I'm considering Pinaud Clubman Original.
I have the Special Reserve - which is pretty bad*ss and I'm thinking how far did the SR stray from the original?

    Which d'ya prefer and why?
Layering? ( SR + Chanel PM is pretty dope !)

Clubman Pinaud basically rides in the same vein as vintage Canoe by Dana, and is entirely different from the leather scent that is Special Reserve
oh look, I have a signature

I consider them obviously different from each other. Special Reserve is boozy. The original clubman is a spicy/floral/powdery classic scent. IMO, when paired with Chanel's Pour Monsieur EDP (must be the EDP), it is some kind of special magic. Clubman Pinaud is the best cheap aftershave (surpassing Old Spice Classic 'only' because Old Spice has played with their formula IMO.)

Completely different. I love SR. One of the strongest splash on colognes. Strong and leathery. The original is a traditional powdery barbershop. Much lighter and smells a bit cheap.
