Default The Ralph Lauren Supreme Polo line is a bit of an underrated gem...isn't it?

Oud was one of my first 'proper' fragrances and I wore it almost exclusively for 2 years. A great sort-of Oud introduction, but mainly spicy-woody manliness.

Having recently tried Leather - a great one, one of the best designer leathers, fresh/new yet softened with honey, and now Cashmere - think a better version of Bentley Absolute's balsamic/incense note, not sickly, but with leather instead of woods underneath. Really like all 3, could easily be signature scents for a man from 21+. A good 'special' fragrance for the non-specialist/fanatic as well, due to the fact that not that many people are spending 3 figures on fragrances.

I honestly feel like these are right up there with the best designer releases in the last 10 years. Yeah, there's a lot of 'Raplh' designer-y DNA going on, but the whole approach - from the main note, to the execution - feels pretty special to me. Particularly as they're not TOO expensive. Overpriced for retail, perhaps, but around the £50-60 mark on grey markets and ebay.

So, who agrees and who disagrees? And would you like to see them make more of them - or do you think that's it?

I hope I agree. The Leather Supreme arrives this week. It's encouraging to read a positive review as a lead-in!

    Glad they're working for you!
I'm often interested in this line, though gather that performance is lacking?

These Ouds from Ralph Lauren are quite decent, in my opinion. Safe, synthetic ouds, really well blended that could be worn anywhere. I wouldn't pay list (around $160 here), but you can find deals on this one, and the Leather and Cashmere ones for $60-$80. And at those prices they're very good buys.

Gucci and Versace have some similar products that are on the grey market now.

I have both the Cashmere and the Leather -- both very fine imo. They are currently waiting for cooler weather

Not at all, performance is good to very good. They're EDPs - if that means anything, which it doesn't - and the Oud is comfortably the best, but the other two do a job as well.

The oud from this line is the only one that really caught my attention but not enough to get it and I haven't tested them in depth. I prefer the similar offerings from Gucci and Versace that you mention - Gucci Oud Intense is the one that caught my nose enough for me to get a bottle.
