Hehe. I guess that’s the power of consistent brand messaging. Somewhat similar to a signature fragrance worn over a lifetime...

That brings up a good point:

Because the avatar changes *everywhere* it would be displayed when it's changed—including prior forum posts—these descriptions won't make much sense months or years down the line when we've rotated them.

Y2K anybody? I remember the airline I worked for back then went apeshit with their business contingency planning over what turned out to be a non-event LOL.

But The Matrix remains a mindblowing movie even by today’s standards.

The Matrix is a classic. I hope another installment could be made but that's very unlikely.

I like everything about the year 1999, the entertainment, the music, the trends. Life was great that year.

Unfortunately Matrix 2 and 3 were mostly cash grabs, blemishes to the original classic.

Btw while it’s not quite The Matrix, ‘Neo’ and ‘Morpheus’ will be back in a tag team again in the next John Wick instalment.

So far there's just speculation, my expectations aren't high for this relaunch. I'll believe it when I see it.

It's kind of fun now to look back on all the hysteria that churned around that, isn't it? The media was totally consumed by it. I remember drawing out half of my savings account in cash in case the ATMs stopped working.

I was a career man at an airline at the time and now work in software.

It's widely reasoned that Y2K was a non-event is due *precisely* to the millions of man-hours of code review and validation that was done ahead of time.
