Oh, T. With the name Kalahari, I doubt it symbolizes a tadpole.

I'm happy for you folks getting a break from the heat. Temps are reasonable here, too. Barring harassment from mosquitoes or horse flies, I'll make headway on the boardwalk this weekend. Since I'll be working next to the neighbor's big conifers, I'll stick with Dasein Winter.

Happy BN-versary, Ryan. I'm glad for the day you joined.

Good morning, all! I’m heading out to the water just minutes from now! And, yes, Quarry, when I said “on the water,” I meant it literally. I’m taking a Jetski to a place that seems perfect, blowing up my lounger floaty thing and dropping my ass right into the water, where I’ll while away about 4 hours today with my thoughts and a good book. It’s been way too long. This Pisces needs the water. Come join me!

For the celebration, I’m wearing Bobbi Brown Beach even though it’s a lake. Don’t care one whit. The water is what matters!

I picked Guerlain for morning sampling too, HoP! The Mr. gave me your SotD, picked out all by himself. He loves that it fills the whole house when sprayed, lol. I went with Black Perfecto from my samples. Ranks right up there with the original, in my book (and not all LPRN flankers do). So glad I finally smelled this and even more pleased that it lives up to what I had imagined!

And it reminded me, I've meant to post this daylily (apparently, the two go together, in my head). A favorite of mine not just for the color but because I find it hilariously named. This is 'Bela Lugosi', so named for the weird, glowing eye in the center (which really does stand out, even at a distance!).

Thank you for the info on your General, Quarry! Not real sure of myself when it comes to clematis! I've never grown them but that obviously needs to change! I want that blue, or something very close to it.

ExtremeK is giving me extreme nostalgia for my youth, when my family had a lake cottage. Nothing fancy at all but we had fun! Waking up and immediately hitting the water is true luxury. Enjoy every minute!

    Happy weekend to all!

Cool and it looks like it might drizzle today. I'm wearing vintage Bellodgia, from an ebay seller who couldn't figure out what to do with a broken sprayer except sell the bottle at a fire sale price. All it took was a tiny screwdriver and a pair of pliers to decant it into a working atomizer.

PL, that is one gorgeous daylily!

ExtremeK, is your floatie a fancy one, like a swan or a unicorn? I imagine you reclining in the sunshine, a glass of something cold at hand, warm and relaxed.

Ryan, I am so glad you are here. Seven years! May there be seven times seven more.

Black Perfecto was a gift from the old man, last Christmas. Before that, I think I sniffed it once but, couldn't remember whether or not I liked it.

That, is one seriously gothic-looking Lily! I love it!

Anyway, back to gardening ... I appreciate themed gardens, like a moon garden where all the flowers and some foliage are white, or a sinister garden that contains poisonous plants. With black or dark tulips, roses, and that stunning Lugosi, one could maintain quite a gothic effect in front of a dark Victorian home.

ExtremeK, you are something else. You're actually doing what any one of us might rattle off as "just what I need," but never act on.

I believe it is actually Italian rather than French because it is the name of a character in Puccini's Turandot, which is supposed to be pseudo-Chinese, so who knows.
I would pronounce it roughly 'lyoo', pretty much the same in both French and Italian..

Another wide-eyed LOL! Beli Lugosi is the daylily that started my parent's (okay, my father's) obsession with daylilies--led to the whole Russell's Fancy Daylilies farm.

I've been busy enjoying my son and being supportive to Mr. Cat, and I've been wearing kai oil. I have no pictures of my own so I'm posting one my sister sent me today--
