Default Help me build my wardrobe

    Hello,

I want to expand my fragrance wardrobe. I currently have

    - Issey Miyake Pour Homme
    - Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb extreme

I want to build a versatile but not to big wardrobe. I am a college student, male. I was thinking about getting a DH / DHI / D&G the one or maybe a CDG 2 as a fall/winter and some versatile everyday fragrance, like Chanel Bleu de Chanel.

Help me out with suggestions of what fragrance I should purchase next.

My recommendation is that you don't purchase a full bottle. Sample stuff until you find something you can't live without.

I love CDG 2Man (if that's what you were talking about), but this is great advice and exactly what I did when starting out. I now have way over 200 samples. Keep them and revisit them later as your knowledge and experience with perfume grows. Places like Surrender to Chance and The Perfumed Court are your friend. They do have sales quite often and STC offers a discount when signing up for their mailing list. Or just go into the mall and smell things like the Chanels and Diors and D&G there.

OP - what you are thinking about getting is fine. I'll add one more suggestion - Burberry London,

DH/DHI and CDG2 man are great choices for all around (DHI is more on the warm side for the winter, and 2 man feels a bit avantgarde, but not too much).
You can also look into a citrus, they work well in many circumstances, eg like Eau Sauvage or Terre d'Hermes.

Some good choices to start out with. Also check out Terre d'Hermes. Get to a mall and get your nose on as much as you can. If you don't want to take as much of a risk, pick up some samples while you're there. Nordstrom is quite generous with their samples.

Also adding Dior Homme Parfum, Cologne and/or Sport to a (re) testing list

I recommend going to Sephora and getting samples of all the BdC line (EdT, EdP, and Parfum). Similar, but slightly different. I think the Parfum smells the best with a lovely Lavender + woody drydown, but performance and projection are average. EdP and Parfum are almost identical in opening, and EdP performs the best from what I hear, but I think the scent of the Parfum is a little better in the dry down.
