Default Markings on TDH bottle neck

Has anyone seen such markings from the screw cap on a TDH bottle? Does the cap leave such marks?
    I'm quite confused. Someone's offering this bottle to me saying it's legit, a 2014 batch. ( Code : 4HBAC)
I saw the marks and instantly thought they are marks from pliers but he said these do happen on TDH bottle from usage of the screw cap.
Has anyone else seen such marks on their TDH bottle?

PS: this is a 500ml TDH EDT bottle.

I personally haven't experienced that with my bottles, but don't use them that frequently. I could see that possibly happening though if the cap was too tight around the nozzle. The opening and closing of it could create the rubbing marks seen in the photo.
