Does anyone know le ré noir lame de vetiver?
I added the Franck Olivier and the Beckham. I previously thought at Zileri's Viaggio d'Africa, but it doesn't fit the "currently available to buy and priced close to original retail price" requirement to be on this list, since it's long discontinued, and only appears very occasionally in ebay auctions.
Thank you for your help!

This is such a great summer post! Love it.
Not a true vetiver scent but Rogue Perfumery Le Canotier does have a small cult following here.

Ah, I quoted what someone else said and it deleted my first reply. Well.. in a nutshell. I think this should be a sticky, for us vetiver lovers. Also I think you should make a section on the OP listing discontinued/hard to find stuff like Kenzo Air, Viaggo, Noble Vetiver, etc.
The way Manuel does vetiver in this one is outstanding. I only had a small sample, but I remember very much enjoying his very green and fresh take on vetiver, very natural too. I didn't care for the dry down as much.
Manuel, if you're watching. Have you considered making a vetiver-centric fragrance? If you could base it on the vetiver you sourced from Canotier, I think it would be amazing!

I've been contemplating on this for quite a while, and came to the conclusion that Ombre Indigo by Olfactive Studio does fit in this list:
In short, this is basically a vetiver scent when the mid- and base notes arrive. It's weird and really nice. A Timbuktu/Encre Noir/Sycomore like, papyrus driven vetiver with topnotes of petit grain, cotton-candy'ish orange blossom, tuberose rubber - but vetiver is essential in this one.
tried a loooot of Vetiver.
My top 3 is:
Guerlain Vetiver edt
EFM Vetiver extraordinaire (vintage)
Creed Vetiver 1948
I am pretty sure Vetiver Nocturne is no longer available. You might want to remove it from your list, based on your criteria.
A shame - it's fantastic stuff.

Added to the list! Thatsaid, could you please confirm that the vetiver is a strong note in that one? The reviews seem to be mixed in regard... I had the same hesitation when decided if listing L'Artisan Dzongkha, since to my nose, the vetiver isnoticeable, but part of the blend without being very prominent, so not sure it deserves a spot in this list. What about Shaal Nur, in your opinion?
Thank you
Yeah, I wondered too when I saw the post. I do not recall Shaal Nur being vetiver-centric at all, rather incense and patchouli with herbs and spices. It does have a very bright and fresh opening, so maybe that's vetiver, but that doesn't really last long.I gotta try it again when I get home.
Vetiver Veritas by Heeley is impressive!

Laboratorie Olfattivo Vetyverso is one the best in the genre. So strong vetiver with patchouli in the background
