Elizabeth Arden Green Tea, because I wanted a very light and refreshing fragrance in this heat, and this one is also long lasting on my skin, too. Bonus - it's one of my mom's favourite perfumes, so it kinda feels like a hug.

Jo Malone Wood, Sage & Sea Salt

I liked it and I also wanted to test it on skin.

It's nice, but not so smooth and clean.
On paper it's much much better, like a shaving-foam-ice-cream something, I mean it smells like a shaving foam, but it's creamy, it doesn't have enough musk to be foamy. On skin it's a little bit swampy.
The longevity on my skin is abysmal - less than one hour. It's hot outside (28 degrees C).

Jo Malone Amber & Lavender (on paper)

It got my attention. I thought it was interesting.
    A nice barbershop minty lavender.

Continuing on with Mon Guerlain. More than some other Guerlains, for some reason it's redolent of early times wearing Guerlain scents as a teenager and I'm enjoying that nostalgia.

Nice! I love Mon Guerlain because it's everything I hoped Shalimar would be. I do not like Shalimar, sadly.

I'm wearing Jo Malone Tuberose Angelica because I want to compare its tuberose to the tuberose in Diptyque Do Son. I tried Do Son for the first time yesterday and its tuberose was surprisingly narcotic. I might be on the verge of a tuberose addiction!

Serious June gloom today and I thought (correctly) that the Eucalyptus and incense of 1828 Jules Verne would resonate in this cooler weather.

Since it's a warm (for here) day, I decided to break out the Viking and see if it was warm and humid enough to get a nice, complex scent going. Nope and nope.

Too hot. My favorite perfumes don't quite match this kind of weather. Even the eau de colognes don't satisfy me. This one seems appropriate.
I'm not really a freshies fan - in cold weather they're too harsh, in hot weather they're not so refreshing anymore. But compared to the others I own...

It's finally a rainy and only mildly warm day after all the humid heat, so I'm wearing Mon Guerlain EDT together with Terre de Lumiere to compare. They're both lavender-gourmands, both very pretty, both very versatile and very easy to wear. Mon Guerlain EDT has more prominent lavender and very soft and fluffy vanilla and a hint of patchouli. (Mon Guerlain EDP has much less lavender, much more vanilla and patchouli, about the same amount of florals and no mandarine). Terre is spikier with its peppery edge, and the sweetness comes from honey, therefore it's a bit sweeter (but sweetness is tamed and sharpened and made almost sparkly with peppercorn and bergamot, while Mon Guerlain's sweetness is softened and deepened with vanilla and patchouli). Terre is not floral at all (except lavender), and has no vanilla or patchouli, notes say acacia, almond, musk and tonka, but I'm not good enough to discern them, I just feel them as a whole, and it feels warm, sunny, happy and a bit spiky-sparkly sweet. I like both. In my understanding Terre de Lumiere could be more versatile and maybe a bit more energetic and unique, as vanilla/patchouli/tonka can get a bit cloying and is quite a popular modern finish, but Mon Guerlain is more enveloping, cozier and sexier. These three qualities are even more true for EDP because of much deeper drydown - EDT is much more airy, and the lavender overdose (it's really an overdose compared with both MG EDT and Terre de Lumiere) makes it more classy, calming or interesting instead of sexy. The lavender in MG EDT is almost of medicinal kind, especially for the first hour, later it melds with the base notes and becomes soft.

Thanks for the detailed comparison of Mon Guerlain edp and edt, ClockworkAlice. It clarifies something for me: I’ve been wondering about getting the edt as well as the edp. I prefer the lavender understated, which means it would probably be advisable to stick with the edp—which I am wearing due in large part to that deep drydown you talk about.

Yes, I believe you don't need EDT in this case. You might want to investigate into Intense or Sensuelle if you want a flanker of MG - I haven't tried them myself, but they are said to have even more of this lush drydown.
When I tried both EDP and EDT in winter, I preferred EDP because of this cosiness, and EDT seemed a bit harsh/medicinal/too lavendery in the opening and not as enveloping. But since all the cards were in EDTs favour - I found a very, extremely, amazingly good deal on EDT; it's a very hot summer and my only air conditioning system is a window; while I never liked lavender much, I became half obsessed by it during the lockdown as I found it really calms me; I'm using up my last drops of Terre de Lumiere; the EDT actually blooms beautifully in warm weather... I went for it. No regrets!
