Yes. It is a stinker. Best on a Male body.
Rumours are that Fragonard blends this for Diptyque.

What kind of oud did you get from it? If it's the animalistic barnyard style oud, all bets are off.

My subjective opinion based upon scenting it on myself and friends. Few of the Females I have scented it on have enjoyed it on themselves, however love it on their Male partners.

That's as far ss I'll go on this as it can become argument on Gender.

Yes, I think you may enjoy it. For me I've burned through 2 bottles of it by wearing it myself, samplings for others.

Not barnyard, but more dry and astringent and very strong. For me, nauseating. There is supposed to be rose, vanilla, and other notes. I don't get any of those, just unrelenting oud.

I'm learning to enjoy stronger oud-based frags. They are definitely an acquired taste. So I hope this one works out for me. This is made with natural oud, right? The price of a bottle doesn't look ridiculous.

SOTD is Chanel 31 rue Cambon because, literally, it was the very first thing that entered my mind upon waking. The scent smells luscious.

I believe you have explained this before, but please remind me of when and how you decide to replace a dwindling favorite. My 31 rue Cambon has about 30% remaining and she's a keeper.

At 30%, time to replenish! 31 rue Cambon is definitely worthy.

My benchmark for replenishing a member of the permanent collection is when it starts to move below 50%. If a local store is having a special event for that brand I like to buy it there but sometimes online is preferable. Being unable to access some favourite stores during the pandemic really confirmed the importance of backup.

Invasion Barbare, because I didn't wear it this weekend, and I missed it.

    Sculpture Homme,

short version: Because I bought it.

longer version: Although I should (and most often do) limit the time spend in shops due to preconditions related to Covid, today was the odd day where I didn‘t give a dime and wanted to clear my head. So, I took my bike, sun was shining, drove across the city (lots of bridges, channels and parks here, very green) and visited some shops here and there. Living in a big city (in German terms! There really aren‘t any huge cities here except maybe for Berlin, and even that is comparatively modest), there were 2 TK Maxx, 2 perfume shops and 6 drugstores *cough* on the way

In the second one, saw the Nikos, remembered the reviews, and tried a little on the back of my hand. Wow! Fast forward, I liked it a lot all the way, nice progression, it even survived using hand sanitizer twice (!), although I went easy on that particular spot (but didn‘t leave it out). Bought it at the end of my tour.

Thank you! It's doubtful Chanel will ever go on sale and it seems to always be excluded from department store fragrance sales. So, I'll pick some up when I'm feeling flush. But your advice applies to most others so I think I need to better define my permanent collection. Some soul searching is in order.
