Congratulations! I liked many of Mugler’s Les Exceptions line and ended up choosing Cuir Impertinent for myself. I had to replace my first bottle because it leaked, so beware.

Thanks for the tip, TL. Sorry that bottle leaked. I hope you got a good replacement. So far the ones I have are fine. Haven’t opened this one yet but no problem exchanging it if necessary, I’m sure.

Enjoy your Cuir Impertinent. It’s very nice.

Thanks, N.CAL. Will do. Also interested in others’ experience with Naughty Fruity. There doesn’t seem to be much in the way of discussion or review.

I haven’t posted in forever, but I picked up some nice things in August and September.
I visited Tihanyi in Hungary, where they have a well established but possibly not very well known Lavender industry. It was amazing! After eating rose and lavender ice cream, I picked up a couple of travel size fragrances; a lavender rose, and a straight up lavender that were both made there.
I just also got some sweet online deals on Tam Dao EdP for me, and Clive Christian L men for the Mr.
I’m also interested in reading impressions of the new Mugler offerings!

Sounds like a wonderful trip. I never knew about the lavender farms in Hungary but I do know about the fagylalt (ice cream)!

Unfortunately I had to “un-buy” Naughty Fruity because it gave me sneezing fits and watery eyes. Too bad; I like it but it doesn’t like me.

Went to the Guerlain event yesterday with cazaubon. The presentation in a special room featured the Art et Matière line and Mitsouko 100 years, with lime flavoured water and perfumed chocolates offered.

Afterward at the perfume “bar” I could not (and did not try to) resist a refillable peony coloured, hand-painted by an artist on the spot, bee bottle of one I wear a lot, Mon Guerlain edp. Also with that came a small atomizer bottle to transfer scent for travel, a small candle and a few other goodies. But really, it’s all about the whole experience.

And who could ever blame you for not resisting that beauty!

But I want to hear more about the perfumed chocolates.

No doubt. Although I liked many scents the choice was Mon Guerlain because it's one worn often, making the idea of refilling logical.

Okay—the chocolates: there were three types, little approx. 1¨ cubes of dark chocolate, each type with a filling representing a Guerlain perfume style; namely, (IIRC) floral, oriental and—was it woody? I thought they could have added a fruity one with good result. Heh heh...

Going to one of these events is like going to a fabulous play, only you and your friends are in it. The "play" lasts about 2-1/2 hours and at the end you get to go home not only having enjoyed the performance but loaded with perfume and other goodies to enjoy for a long time. Most plays one goes to don't have a perfume ending!
