    Default Winter pleasent smell

Hello guys, I'm looking for a winter fragrance that is good performing but not too sweet and obnoxious like Ultra Male, Eros, Stronger with you, Code Profumo and similar. And for example I really like La Nuit and TF Noir Extreme, even though they are sweet as well but somehow I don't find them that synthetic and annoying as the ones I've mentioned.

Try Paco Rabanne 1 Million Prive and maybe 1 Million Lucky. You may also give a shot with Mugler A*Men and some its flankers - some of them are very sweet though, such as Pure Tonka. Give a shot with D&G The One EDT or EDP.

Dior Homme Intense would be a good choice.

    Perhaps Burberry London.

Excellent suggestions. I might add Azzaro Pour Homme Intense (2015.), a very nice boozy and off the radar scent in the community. You might also want to try Carolina Herrera Chic for men. You could consider V&R Spicebomb or Givenchy Gentlemen Only Absolute as well.

    Bentley for Men Intense

If you want something for cold days (less than 0c), this is the stuff. Fairly loud and boozy, but puts many designers to shame. Doesn't smell juvenile either, like so many.
    Most worn:

Black Comme des Garçons, Borneo 1834 Serge Lutens, Patchouli Santa Maria Novella

    Get samples/decants of:

    -Chanel Coromondel
    -Dior Homme Parfum
    -Dior Ambre Nuit.

These are widely regarded as exceptional.
Life is short, treat yourself to the good stuff.

Skip Ambre Nuit, it's like an old lady's fragrance, it doesn't fit with the ones you mention that you like at all.

Have you thought of picking up something like Allure Homme Sport, the original one not the Eau Extreme, that's quite a good workhorse daytime year round fragrance and has that sweet thing going on.

Are you after some deeper richer ones though, that can be used for winter nights?

    +1 on Burberry London

    L'Occitane Eau Des Baux

Dior Homme Eau...many look at this as a lighter version than the original..less iris..and I found it worked great in Winter

Surprise choice: Terre D' Hermes EDT-I wore this pretty consistently while living in Chicago with some harsh Winters and found that the woods really shined vs just a citrus/vetiver feel in the cold. I actually preferred it in Fall and Winter.

Acqua di Gio Profumo works too

    Perhaps these -

    Dior Homme Intense
    Tom Ford Noir Extreme
    Egoiste
A* Men / Pure Malt / Pure Havane / Pure Coffee
    JHL
    Bentley for Men Intense
    L'Occitane Eau de Baux

Most of the obvious suspects have already been mentioned.

If you can, try Bvlgari Man Black Orient (not to be confused with the more widely available Man in Black). Tasteful projection but with good presence overall, decent longevity, and, most importantly, it features an unusually well-defined central accord for a mainstream designer scent. If spicy-dark masculines with a hint of Middle Eastern flavor appeal to you but you don't want something very sweet, this is a great option.

    Lol.
Judging by his thread title and the fragrances he referenced in his post, I’m pretty sure he wasn’t seeking a generic screechy synthetic citrus sport fragrance for winter.

Ah, I misread it, I thought he'd listed ones he'd liked when those were the ones he doesn't like. Sorry.

That said, I'd stand by what I said about Ambre Nuit, it's great for a woman in their 60s, waste of time for most people (same with Feve Delicieuse mentioned up thread, well, that's more woman in their 70s).
